  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) You can literally order a 2500whp capable engine from mmr for $32,500 and it comes with 1 year of trackside assistance and setup coordinating, race logistics planning, and tech support. It's a package designed for drag race teams.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) And that's just a street worthy build. Race 5.3\4 modulars have made 2500whp for similar $. Bigger twin 76 or 80mm turbos are only $1100 more than my 62/65's were. Wilder race cams would be $500 more. Steel cylinder liners $1,500. Fuel mods $750.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) And 4 turbos and 16 intercoolers and a $1.5m attached vehicle... Idiotic ridiculous post. Here's a figure for ya -5.3L 323ci 4v -twin 62/65mm turbos -1400hp. -18/26mpg -535lbs wet with turbo plumbing and cooling system. -$32,500. Ford modular.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) You had to have a race license to buy the 100-300 cobra r's (year dependent) and they were very spartan as well, but also more reasonably priced. The z28 can be bought by anyone, no track license required. Ford wanted em raced, Chevy is capitalizing
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) I don't car if you think I'm a dingus for that, I think it's wishful thinking to assume 75lbs of amenity will utterly transform the cars performance. All it's going to do is utterly ruin it's drivability
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) Patrick, I know it's like the cobra r's were. I call that lame as well because stereo and ac are nice features. My 03 cobra would be at most slivers of a second quicker in any performance metric without a stereo or ac. It's a good way to ruin a car
  • 5 American Cars That Won't Leave You Stranded  (Jan 05, 2014) '12 regal gs here as a dd... I can sneak past cops at 80 and they think it's grandpa off to bingo. It's been a great car. Manual 6spd, it's 1/2 car length ahead from 50-125 than my buddy's tune, testpipe tiptronic b7 Audi a4.
  • 5 American Cars That Won't Leave You Stranded  (Jan 05, 2014) Decklid* iPhone, please quit doing this fail stuff.
  • 5 American Cars That Won't Leave You Stranded  (Jan 05, 2014) Love those tail lights and the deck kid!
  • 5 American Cars That Won't Leave You Stranded  (Jan 05, 2014) It's great and I do like these a lot, but August can't come soon enough, 2015's are gonna be insane
  • 5 American Cars That Won't Leave You Stranded  (Jan 05, 2014) Scott, I had blizzacks on my 03 cobra back when it was my daily driver. Best snow traction I've had. I haven't ran blizzacks on anything since because I now use all season awd and fwd setups which are good enough. Tires>drivetrain in snow/weather
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) The tires are pirreli trofeo's... Anyways.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) This interior would have to be lived with every day... The track capabilities would shine through maybe 10% of the time on a daily drive. I'd definitely buy a c7 over this... This is like a stripped rsx interior... Actually I prefer the rsx interior
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) David, you're off your rocker. A 3850lbs car at quarter throttle even with an ls7 would get smashed by a 15 second honda going wot. Please stop, I don't wanna tear into ya but you're ridiculously ill informed.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) Such a great engine! These things are epic. Headers, full exhaust, cam, head work and tune etc, 570-600whp naturally aspirated and still decently reliable while keeping tons of torquey goodness.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) I've been around tons of classic camaros. When I saw these, I saw and instantly new what they were going for nostalgia wise, but without them being recessed and hooded like the actual 67 camaro, I thought 2000 prelude as well. Too flush to the bumper
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) I don't prefer these lights to the 09-12. I'd have rather seen Chevy copy the 13 mustang lights but integrated into the 09-12 camaro light double square setup. Maybe shorten them slightly, but that's me. The black out inset woulda looked great.
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) It looks awesome, if I had an ss 5th gen, I'd try and get it looking similar
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) And before idiots start, the gt500 video time of 7:37 is bridge to gantry just like all of Chevys videos so shut the fack up already about it being bs. -$1200 option for ac and a stereo? On a $75,000 car? That's lame. A stripped lp640 vs a z28?
  • Want a 2014 Camaro Z/28? It'll Only Cost $75K  (Jan 05, 2014) David's way off. Maybe $60k I'd be on board saying it's a good. 7:37 vs 7:39 gt500. A performance optioned 2015 mustang gt can pace this thing. 50hp difference but 400#s less. Maybe bolt ons, tires and coilovere if not. I'd Save $30k, and be comfy.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 05, 2014) @joey et al, z28's might lose to performance optioned gt's, let alone gt350 etc trim. Zl1 and SS will be way behind Perf gt vs z28: -400lbs lighter -wider track width f&r -lower center of gravity -lower coef of drag -not based on a 4 door chassis
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 05, 2014) Cheers
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 05, 2014) Mayb in a 2d picture you can kinda sorta say they have similar roof lines? Watch a vid of this though and a vid of a honda accord. No comparison. The accord looks front wheel drive and generic. Other cars with this roofline are British...
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 05, 2014) Ya only the 2011+ v6 was really anything special. 305hp, 4v dohc, and 30mpg. Now 2010 and older v6's were, um "peppy" at best and honesty gutless at worst. I won't even mention the original fox body na i4... Even with only 2500lbs to move,...no.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) A twin turbo 5.0 was testing in the cobra jet scene via ford racing...I hope it's a precursor of things to come. Basic mods to have 800whp from a 650-700hp factory tt 5.0 offering in like a Mach or gt500? Sign me up
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) Marshel, I'm saying it'll be a nice engine for what it is. I'm not buying one but hey, if people do I won't harp on em. I don't think anyone listed turbo v8's, I listed some ford engines but none are turbo. Sc and na. I'd love a tt coyote option!!
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) You're opinion is yours, I was outta line.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) A challenger is 192" and a 5th gen camaro is 190.5"
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) I meant to say a vanquish is 2" shorter than the mustang.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) Correction: The 2013 vanquish is 185.75" The 2008 xkr is 188.5" The 2013 xkr is 188.6" The 2015 mustang is 188.5" The 2013 jaguar f type is 176" A 2013 Mazda miata is 157.3" for comparison. A 2014 c7 corvette is 177" A 2013 m6 is 193"...
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) It's a camera in the reverse light. The reverse light is 7" or so wide by 2" tall~, the camera is in the middle of it
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) It's shorter than an Aston Martin vanquish haha, barely 2" longer than an older xkr
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) Stock 03 cobra block with arp gaskets and head studs hit 1188whp on stock pistons, rods, crank with 42psi @ the manifold More stock internal #'s, w/o failure: 13 gt500:1350 whp 13 Boss kb'd 800whp 11 5.0 920whp Stock 2jz/rb26 <800whp but failed
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) Even naturally aspirated high compression coyote and road runner 5.0's can and have handled double their stock na output while supercharged and turbo'd. With proper tuning and parts, late model ford engines are incredibly durable. 500whp 2.3 easy.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) Marshel, I don't think you know much about boosted recent ford motors. They're way over built factory and can usually handle double to triple their factory lower rating with simple things like gaskets and head studs. Stock internals.

  • This is Edsel Ford's First Mustang  (Jan 04, 2014) I was a valet for 6 weeks when I was 16. The safety for customers was terrible. A lot of cars left unlocked keys in... Worse still, no real security and "managers" would take cars for joyrides. I 86'd that scene quick. No thanks. Won't use valet now
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 04, 2014) Haha, Shivash is so full of shit all he has is toilets on the mind. Opinions are cool and all but bullshit is bullshit.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) The 03 cobra owner in me says wow, this is a 5 star resort, the Infiniti owner in me says this is very posh and comfortable but could be swankier. All told, it's great without being austere IMO. All the tech gadgets will be cool, h/ac seats? Nice.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) *that little circle in the top of the black out panel might be the camera or a keyhole, probably a keyhole.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) Under the license is the backup light, I believe there is a integrated back up camera either there, or above the blackout panel
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) But that's a video game. My buddy has an rs5 and his brother a tuned, pulley, exhaust s5, both are wicked quick and have plenty of pull in most any gear. In real life, 350lb/ft of torque gets you moving quick, in forza, not so much haha
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) Haha, I built up an s5 or rs5 with a rwd swap in forza 5 on December 5th right after they revealed the s550 mustang because I thought it was the closest looking while being irs and well suspended in that game haha. The 4.2L v8 had weak torque though
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) I notice sublt things every time I scope these pics. Just noticed the flat aero aids perpendicular to the side skirt rocker panels. I bet this this is very stable at speed. The widened track plus aero inclusions probably keep it solidly planted
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) I think high end for sure, my mind went Jag/Aston but I could see a little German in the silhouette for sure. I want to see it in person, pics always lie until you've seen the car in person to know the actual proportions, then pics look even better
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) For comparison, 2013 boss 302 v8 puts down 390-400whp, and runs 11.9's on drag radials at 3600lbs. 3850lbs 2013 gt500 makes 590whp, 11.5's A 500whp turbo car with all that torque weighing in at 3350lbs with drag radials would fly to easy 10's.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) $1400 being only for a precision or comp dbb or tbb t3 60/62mm blanketed ceramic snail with water/oil cooling. The fuel, spark, cooling, basic bolt ons with a tune and meth could all be done for an additional 8,600 very easily with professional instal
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) I bet a modestly worked over 2.3 will make 400whp with bolt ons, tune meth and race gas. If not, a simple turbo upgrade (~$1400 on a high) will easily get it to 500whp with fuel, spark, cooling and possibly head mods. $10k in mods, easy 10's 30mpg
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) Seeing that it's gonna be a $30~k car, I doubt you'll see em rices out, you might see em tuned up with downpipe, tune and so on but that's not rice. Rice is stickers, fake useless spoiler, cheap race seats, crappy big sub stereo, purple walmart tint
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) I love the sn95 99-04's (03 cobras!) that tons hate on so for me this is great. I also love the 11-13's, and liked the 05-10's a good bit but not as much. For me, they nailed it, I feel bad for mustang faithful that don't feel acknowledged by ford.
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) my point is although ford used to be a lackluster brand save for the mustang and trucks, it's now quite the thorough bred stable of vehicles. ie: -C-max is 95% Prius mpg, 200% nicer, $3k less -plasma cylinder liner tech -Eco boost -etc etc - Boss!
  • Great Expectations: Will the New Mustang Meet Them?  (Jan 03, 2014) @Franklin Only good ford product? Compare these 2013/2014 models within their class and tell me an honest unbiased review. • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) 03 cobra crate motor is $8-12,000 but people have gotten 1200whp out of them with just gaskets, head studs fuel, spark and boost. No 2jz, rb2?, ls?, etc etc engine can lay claim to that. Crazier still, ford gt 5.4's have hit 1800 stock internals.
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) No problem Ryan, the same misconception exists with most of the hi po ford modulars. A lot of people also think that a 4.6 4v out of a mercury is as strong as a 4.6 4v out of an 03 cobra. The teksid aluminum block is stronger, Internals arent.
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) Bolt on ford gt's still bring all the bucks because it's easy to revert to stock. Now some modded twin turbo kitchen sink upgraded ford gt will not hold near as good of value. That said, owners have driven, lightly modded and sold gt's for huge gain
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) Originally weight saving and air flow. In this nostalgia
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) The ford gt engine cost about $30,000+ through ford or tune shops. The lightning engine costs about $5000. Fgt heads flow 315/260cfm. L heads flow way less. Fgt aluminum block has 65+ internal differences to a lightning block jacket to crank
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) Thanks to top gear, the world is wrongfully informed. This 5.4 is aluminum, 4v, hand built, and can handle 1500whp on stock internals simply by adding turbos and fuel/spark. The lightning was iron, 2v, production line, and maybe 600whp limit stock.
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) Yup, owners have simply removed them. Looks much better but safety/emissions time, throw it on for an hour, pass, take it off
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) $2500 in tires, a pulley, shorter belt, cai, exhaust and dyno tune. I'm comparing modded gt vs stock zr1/acr/ta because 5-8 years of extra development went into those; + those now cost $125-150k, same as 05 gt new, but lose $ value, gt gains value
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) In 05 this was epic in price:performance. Not hugely in a straight line, but seconds faster than vipers and vettes around certain race tracks. Seconds is huge. Buy one, throw bolt ons (+125whp) and sticky tires at it, and it whoops zr1's and acr's
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) If you buy this, store it for 25 years, it might be a $3-5M+ car in 2039 assuming ww3 and so on doesn't derail everything. Great investment honestly. I read of a guy almost buy a 08 Gallardo in 08, bought a gt instead, just sold it for $125k profit
  • Ford GT with Just 11 Miles on the Clock Up for Grabs  (Dec 31, 2013) You can buy one today, leave it stock and drive about 500-1000 miles a year or less on it and probably still sell it in 5 years for twice what you bought it at. The y sold at 150k new, were 200k 5 years ago and now sell for 250-300k. Cray cray sick
  • Ford America's Best-Selling Car Brand of 2013, Says Ford  (Dec 31, 2013) If true, his dad has a 2jz powered Prius that covers a mile in 25 seconds. • Ford Takes 2015 Mustang to Route 66  (Dec 28, 2013) The irs isn't as strong as a built sra, but a stock mustang sra also wheel hops and sucks like a bitch. • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 24, 2013) Wasn't a gt but was an svo, also the 2013 cobra jet concept car had twin turbos on a coyote, but that's a concept. Hoping it gets incorporated into production! When people say turbos are rice, I lol.
  • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 24, 2013) I've been a mustang fan for decades and can honestly say this thing is awesome to me, from looks to performance to the hard work and engineering. • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 24, 2013) In my opinion it has soul, great looks, etc. quantifying soul is tomato-tuhmahtoe though. • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) Since it doesn't scream aggression, it should age well, it has a mature and stated look that to me ages well. • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) I think it rather timeless and elegant much like a db9
  • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) Depth perception is thrown off with still shot 2d pics, in person it meshes beautifully but in pictures, the eye is lied to. Watch videos of it moving in high definition and you'll get a better idea of the rears actual dynamic aesthetic.
  • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) Someone said turbo 5 speed, the turbo will use a 6spd unit. All engine and trim packages offer 6spds, I'm thinking these 3 variants, ti4, v6, v8 gt, will have 6spd a6/m6 offerings, the gt350 might only be m6 though. Talk of a 10 speed auto and m8 too
  • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) I could go on for the whole car. I've personally found over 50 mustang cues played into this design, and yet it looks completely modern and sick. I think when people see them in person, the shit talk might dry up and some of the naysayers will sway.
  • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) Mustang cues just upfront: -trio led inner lights scream 64 grill gills -large wide boxy grill (64-73) -layered hood bevels with grill height(many) -hood has aero/heat vents (many) -long hood, short deck trunk (many) -incorporated ducting/fog light
  • Winning Bidder Will Get First 2015 Mustang  (Dec 23, 2013) The proportions scream mustang in person. The mustang community that has seen it live in person has exho'd this to exhaustion. Modern car designs which a are sleek and curved don't photo well. A 458 Italian looks iffy in pics, sexy in real life.
