2015 GT-R Nismo "Is the Best GT-R Yet"(15 hours ago)David - since you said please: http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=255032.
Basically a gtr is 80% more expensive to maintain than 911 turbo. And apparently some GTR owners do care about running costs.
Buy a Brand New LaFerrari for 3 Million Euros(15 hours ago)I'm thinking Ferrari is waiting for their "special" tires before they provide one for a comparison test. lol. Mark my words, it will smoke the P1 and 918 just like the 458 smoked the 650S.
700-HP Mazda Miata Turbo is the Ultimate Sleeper(Oct 28, 2014)unreals. A well planned build. The gig is up before any race starts tho. They will definitely hear the turbo spool up and just as they're thinking "uh...that sounds like a bigass turbo" the car rockets away. gotta love it!
Motor Trend's GT-R Black Edition Canadian Road Trip(Oct 27, 2014)V the exhaust noise is fantastic, it's the tire noise at cruising speeds that gets annoying very quickly. They may have added in more sound insulation or the tire technology has improved. It's been 5 years so I'm happy to hear it's been improved.
Motor Trend's GT-R Black Edition Canadian Road Trip(Oct 27, 2014)Great video. I've driven those roads as well but the low speed limits curb the fun factor. Still, hard to beat the scenery. I'm surprised to hear him praising the ride and interior noise, two things I found overly obtrusive on an 09 model I drove.
First Look at McLaren P1 GTR Interior(Oct 23, 2014)What an experience that would be! And guaranteed you would be a MUCH better driver by the end of the year.
I better start winning the lottery soon.
17-Year-Old Blows Us Away With Ferrari 458 GTO Project(Oct 23, 2014)This is how people attain their dream job. They work at something they are passionate about until they are so good that someone somewhere decides they want to pay them for their skills. He's good but needs formal training. Good for him!
LaFerrari Dominates Everything on the Track(Oct 23, 2014)I think it's safe to say he's driven this track lots. Good instincts too for dealing with traffic. I also don't think there's much between the 918 LaFerrari and P1 in terms of performance. We'll see them together someday...soon I hope.
Someone in Greece Spent Three Months Making a Carbon-Fiber Vette(Oct 21, 2014)It's a great choice for a sportscar. Cheap, light, strong drivetrain that can support a lot more hp, huge aftermarket, comfortable, economical, practical, reliable... on the minus side the seats, while comfy offer little support during cornering.
Motor Trend’s Inevitable Camaro Vs. Mustang Comparison(Oct 20, 2014)Not as funny as you sifting through a bunch of numbers until you find one you like lol. That ones too easy but it's all good buddy. Doesn't matter if the Mustang loses a thousand more comparisons. There will always be mustang guys to defend it.
C.J. Wilson's McLaren P1 Pitches 50 Shades of Purple(Oct 20, 2014)Nice picture but...why?? I didn't think it was possible to screw up the paint on these. Guess I was wrong. And the Bronze rims...terrible. Bronze rims only work on black, white or blue cars imo.
It’s The C7 Corvette Versus Europe(Oct 20, 2014)a Huracan for the test and the McLaren finished out of the top three. I would agree the 458 is a bit overpriced but f they say it's the best drivers car of the bunch then I'll take their word on it. Nobody has ever said an unkind word towards it.
It’s The C7 Corvette Versus Europe(Oct 20, 2014)This was a comparison of all the new cars they tested in the past year to find out which is the best drivers car. Price is irrelevant as most people are aware that Porsche makes better drivers cars than lamborghini, hence Lambo declined to provide
It’s The C7 Corvette Versus Europe(Oct 19, 2014)I almost feel like most of the reason it doesn't get taken seriously is because it's so cheap. How could it possibly be anywhere near as good while costing so little? Well, it may not be AS good but it comes a lot closer than its price suggests.
It’s The C7 Corvette Versus Europe(Oct 19, 2014)As for the C7, it's going to take awhile to win the hearts of the Europeans but it's on the right track. You don't break a stereotype overnight. The next mid engined corvette will be another step forward for it to be taken seriously.
It’s The C7 Corvette Versus Europe(Oct 19, 2014)Would have been nice to see how the Huracan would have faired. Also would have been nice to see all the lap times. Aside from that, they found a deserving winner. I'd have put the GT3 in front of the atom though.
Porsche Macan Fails The Moose Test(Oct 16, 2014)v hitting a moose is usually a fatality, as long as your wearing a seatbelt you have a very good chance of surviving a rollover.
Avoid them at all costs.
Porsche Macan Fails The Moose Test(Oct 16, 2014)the moose why wouldn't you gradually rejoin your original lane. The only reason for two emergency maneuvers would be if there was an oncoming vehicle in which case you would probably choose the ditch for your first maneuver.
Porsche Macan Fails The Moose Test(Oct 16, 2014)I'm not sure I would call this a fail. It avoided the "moose" with the initial emergency maneuver and avoided the ditch with the 2nd emergency albeit with a slight lockup. I'm not convinced 2 emergency maneuvers are required. Once you've avoided
Onboard the LaFerrari At 213 mph(Oct 14, 2014)Austin - It holds the lap record @ Fiorano by 3 seconds. I'd say it's pretty good. Eventually we'll see a track comparison with the P1 & 918. We just have to wait for it. I'm not convinced there will be a clear winner.
Aston Martin Lost About $10k on Every Car Sold(Oct 12, 2014)v indeed. It sounds more like a management problem than anything. Aston Martins haven't changed much in the past 10 years. Retooling costs would be down but they still cost heaps. Hope they can get back on track soon.
Lamborghini Will NOT Build the Asterion(Oct 10, 2014)And so begins Lamborghini's decent. Adapt or die off, that is the way of the auto industry. Just as DCT gearboxes have become industry standard so shall hybrid drive trains. Lamborghini won't be able to compete and meet future emission requirements.
Ferrari 458 Spider is Dino’s Greatest Legacy(Oct 09, 2014)Amazing video. A must see. I have complete confidence that the next 458 will be significantly better in every way than the current one. Ferrari is special like that.
1700 HP Battle: 850 HP E63 AMG Vs. 850 HP C6 ZR1(Oct 09, 2014)It's like a feeding frenzy in here. AMG fanboys have never seen one beat a vette before and they are losing their minds about it lol. It's simple physics. Power/weight. Equal hp but the vette weighs 1/2ton less. In a mile long race all that
1700 HP Battle: 850 HP E63 AMG Vs. 850 HP C6 ZR1(Oct 08, 2014)v ya, he obviously missed 2nd gear. Which makes him a useless driver since its a straight pull back.
I pulled a 12.0@119 1/4 mile in my 470hp vette this summer. This guy did it at 130mph. The powers there, just needs a driver.
Meet the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS(Oct 08, 2014)If he did he wouldn't be that fanatical because they aren't the greatest car in the world like he makes them out to be. It's easy to see why they don't cost much once you've lived with one.
Meet the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS(Oct 08, 2014)Iam - ya, I noticed that a long time ago. I'm 100% convinced it's Colby Church's 2nd alias. They write the same and have the same fanatical bias against anything that isn't Vette related. The Ironic part is I don't think he even owns a Corvette.
More Dirt on the Mid-Engined C8 Corvette(Oct 07, 2014)problem. If I can have a faster easier shift I can concentrate on other things, driving becomes smoother and faster. I certainly won't let pride of ability get in the way of a faster method of there is one available.
More Dirt on the Mid-Engined C8 Corvette(Oct 07, 2014)V Aaron - actually for many people it is about a to b. As in how fast can you get from a to b. At the end of the day the manual has become inferior in that respect. I enjoy heel/toeing as much as the next guy but it's a crutch. A way around a
