Nissan 240SX May Return as a GT86 Rival(Dec 01, 2012)Its only the US market that had the 2.4NA engine and the "240sx" name, the rest of the world had the real stuff! 200sx with a 1.8 turbo for the '88 gen, and 2.0 turbo from the s14 and out. The jdm had 180sx for the '88 as its model name
McLaren's Radical 12C Can-Am Edition Concept(Aug 15, 2012)where a twin turbo setup would kick in at 4-4500rpm's giving you no benefits of the turbo until you reach that rpm, it could also be quite violent if you run high boost. In a Bi Turbo you don't get that, there are setups that spool up at 14-1500 rpms
McLaren's Radical 12C Can-Am Edition Concept(Aug 15, 2012)Bi turbo is usually set up so that 1 small turbo spools up quick at low rpms and a second, larger turbo, takes over when there is enough exhaust flow for it to spool up.It gives a much smoother powerband over a twin turbo where both spools up at once
Lexus LF-LC on Track for Development(Jul 16, 2012)@Spencer; i agree! Can't wrap my mind around why they ALWAYS show you how awesome it COULD look, only to stuff it with something existing in another trim... They obviously know how to make this, why the h*** not stick with it!?
Lexus LF-LC on Track for Development(Jul 16, 2012)The first time I saw this I could not bring myself to like the front, but that has changed! This car is beautiful and daring! Bold move with a design like that, but damn they pulled it of!
Lexus LF-LC on Track for Development(Jul 16, 2012)The entire car is a masterpiece! Hope they won't change to much design wise on it (although unlikely). And I love the stance and wheel clearance of this thing!
Aston Reveals V12 Vantage Roadster(Jul 11, 2012)I wonder how this would look if everything was painted white... The vents, splitter, rear bumper and carbon trims and so on...
Wald Gives the Prius an Attitude(Jul 07, 2012)My colleague has a '10 Prius, thing is, if you drive this like you would any other car, or at 60mph (freeway) +, gas mileage is far from impressive. If you have this in a urban short distance 30mph max environment on the other hand...
Thousand-Horsepower Mustangs Roar in Holland(Jul 07, 2012)The one with the noisy screw probably is high up there too, but IMO the other sounds a bit too tame to claim 1k+ hp. But hey, I'm no expert or have no proof, might be nos involved too. 2 revs and sounds right, the others seemed like civics compared
Thousand-Horsepower Mustangs Roar in Holland(Jul 07, 2012)@Stephen K all i am saying is I've been around quite a few 1k + hp 6/8 and 10 cylinder engines and from my experience when you get to those figures they usually step up a notch in response. As I said, the red one sounds like a beast ->
Porsche 911 Evolution: Type 993(Jul 04, 2012)I don't know much about Porsche, but sounds to me like the same way as with some airplane engines and scooters... Air passing fins on cylinders and other crucial parts... But what do I know...
Japanese Tuner Icons: Nissan Skyline GT-R(Jun 30, 2012)Every single performance part or copy other people's setups from various forums... If you know how to drive this thing, not a lot can keep up when the twisty stuff starts... If you MUST modify, shed weight / better tires IMO
Japanese Tuner Icons: Nissan Skyline GT-R(Jun 30, 2012)The R35 is plenty quick and agile in FM4. You just need a decent steering wheel setup and know how to drive (in FM4) and at least a understanding of what a GTR is compared to traditional 4WD car. Give the stock setup a while before you "expertly" buy
SleeperBuzz: Koenigsegg CCX Guts Placed in a Ford Granada(Jun 20, 2012)@Cody: I'm not so sure they would, Insurance here is invalid on racetracks, so the driver would have to take full financial responsibility. I know he is rich, but I doubt he is THAT rich. Besides, he doesn't have a 'egg anymore either...
SleeperBuzz: Koenigsegg CCX Guts Placed in a Ford Granada(Jun 19, 2012)It might come from a wrecked 'egg a few years back. Tommy Sharif bought one (norway's only I think?) and wrecked it at Rudskogen Raceway a few weeks later. I remember the 'egg people where ashamed of his driving "skills"
Spied: Volvo S60 on the Road(May 27, 2012)A Volvo rivaling anything Benz or BMW is simply never going to happen. Two completely different leagues! Sure it might be as fast, or even faster, but it is like comparing a lotus super 7 to a Aventador...
Spied: Skoda Rapid at the Nurburgring(May 23, 2012)This car should have been small, fast and agile, like the original škoda rapid... My step dad had one of those back in the day... 140hp engine in the back, rear wheel drive an all glass fiber coupe body. That thin did good in rally back in the day...
Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG by Sundern Design-World(May 19, 2012)I wonder what the tuners are smoking... "how do we make a 200k luxury rocket better?" NOT like this! The masterpiece is ruined, and I wish for instant and eternally bankruptcy for all persons involved in this project, both professional and personal!
2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Facelift Warming Up(May 19, 2012)Wish I could see this without the roof rails. A friend of mine removed his on a 07 E wagon and the effect was amazing! The car looks so much wider and lower and I couldn't figure out why until he pointed out the removal of those rails
2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Facelift Warming Up(May 19, 2012)Can't wait for this to surface! From the looks of it so far I can't find any obvious dislikes on my part. Really excited on the turnout of head and tail lamps and the interior!
2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Facelift Warming Up(May 19, 2012)And why would it look like a C class if it had single lamps? Does the 3 series BMW look like the 5 series? I really think Mercedes has enough skilled designers and engineers to differentiate C and E class even though they both use single lamp configs
The Need for Speed: The World's Fastest Police Cars(May 18, 2012)The passat as your everyday cop car. Vito's and Sprinters as transport both uniformed and undercover, ML as command units and G wagons as special forces. There's also the occasional Ford Econoline for larger operations
The Need for Speed: The World's Fastest Police Cars(May 18, 2012)In Norway they use Mercedes E class, ML, G Wagon and Vito, VW Passat, Volvo V70 (last gen) S60's (last gen) and S80's (also last gen) Volvo's are being phased out while E class Benz serve as highway / undercover in most districts and together with
Aston Martin Doesn’t Want to Be Left Out; Lagonda SUV Still Alive(May 17, 2012)Oh come on! Please AM, don't make those stupid SUV's! Where is your honor and racing pedigree in something like this?! You always made drop dead gorgeous and fast (-cygnet) sports and gt cars, why ruin your lineup and history with something like this
Report: Range Rover Evoque Sport in the Works(May 05, 2012)Can't go Offroad? I have seen tests and articles, even top gear that proves other ways! Sure it's no Discovery, but it has surprisingly good Offroad characteristics and abilities...
Report: Range Rover Evoque Sport in the Works(May 05, 2012)It did not work for Nissan, but who is to say it won't work for Land Rover? I know it's a SUV and all, but the use of an SUV is not the same it was 10 years ago. Sure it has Offroad capabilities, but how many actually use their Evoque Offroad anyway?
Unearthed: 1970 Porsche 914(May 05, 2012)Hehe, looking at the proportions of this car, you could almost just flip the cabin around and have yourself a FF Porsche...
