LaFerrari Debuts in Geneva(Mar 05, 2013)Haha @brenton it's not the v12 they don't like, its an instant 160hp boost that makes people uneasy.
Koenigsegg Dissects its Heart(Feb 28, 2013)My vote goes to either the BLT edition or the "flash green" agera that resembles the limited paint option of the 2004 Volvo s60/v70 R. The latter being extremely difficult to find pictures of, but I think exists somewhere on koenigsegg's website.
Did Pagani Cheat on Top Gear?(Feb 28, 2013)I think it would depend on shutter speed. Regardless, the picture would likely show the Pirelli logo, if it were there.
Take that Europe: Venom GT's World Record Revealed(Jan 21, 2013)@william the agera's motor is actually the second to be developed and built in house. The ccr used a 4.7Lsc ford modular v8, but the ccx (2006) used a 4.7L twin supercharged v8 manufactured by koenigsegg themselves.
Take that Europe: Venom GT's World Record Revealed(Jan 21, 2013)@skyler @johnny c'mon guys, not even the ccx used a ford engine. Koenigsegg has been building their own engines for nearly a decade. If you don't know what your talking about, don't post!
First Vette C7 Confirmed for Auction(Jan 18, 2013)No people, it's a viper, California, 458, 599, Cadillac elr, GTR, Camaro, Honda Civic, Audi/Lamborghini (whatever that means), LFA, Aston Martin Zagato, and 1986 Astro Van.
Matt Farah on the Volvo C30 Polestar(Jan 05, 2013)@jacob so would I. I love Volvo, but they seem to have a habit of cutting corners when it comes to their performance oriented products.
Matt Farah on the Volvo C30 Polestar(Jan 05, 2013)at 36k, they're putting themselves in M135i/rs3 territory. How are they supposed to compete with audi and bmw when their premium hatch is characterized by a mess of torque and understeer?
Matt Farah on the Volvo C30 Polestar(Jan 05, 2013)I don't mind the decrease in hp. The car is still quick, and you can always modify it to produce more. My biggest complaint is that they ditched the awd system.
Ferraris Rev in Singapore(Dec 31, 2012)Awd has its advantages on the track. My guess is that 90% of us could get a better lap time in a gtr than in any viper or corvette...
Ferraris Rev in Singapore(Dec 31, 2012)The awd also helps to reduce traction loss from driver error. The American supercars can only be fast with an experienced driver who has the ability to minimize traction loss.
Ferraris Rev in Singapore(Dec 31, 2012)Awd may add weight, but it can also help maintain speed while cornering. The gtr is a quick track car because it has a state of the art awd system that helps it accelerate out of corners.
Cars That Attract Women: Volvo C70(Dec 11, 2012)@aiden brilliant! I also have a 04 passion red R with viva chip, TME down pipe, custom 3" exhaust, bell fmic and aquamist to name a few. I have over 120k on it and it runs great! Truly an amazing car!
Cars That Attract Women: Volvo C70(Dec 11, 2012)@aiden with a few mods, my s60R pushes nearly 300 to the wheels--all 4, of course. None of these people know what volvos are capable of because they are true sleepers...why do you think they do so well in the STCC circuits?
Koenigsegg Develops New Agera S(Nov 26, 2012)Soo what's the deal with the license plate frame? I guess if your gonna slap one on an Agera you might as well go big...
New Lotus Esprit Nearly Production Ready(Nov 24, 2012)Specifically, the viper and z06 are faster around a track than virtually any other production car--one way of acknowledging this is by looking at production car lap records @ the nurburgring.
New Lotus Esprit Nearly Production Ready(Nov 24, 2012)@david we get your point, or at least I do, and in some ways I support it. However, your first comment sounded extremely uneducated... American manufacturers make some of the fastest track cars on the market.
2013 Koenigsegg Agera Updates Revealed(Mar 05, 2012)The wheels are reminiscent of the "Titan" wheels that came on the 95' Volvo t5r and the "Pegasus" rims that came on the S60R. Probably not a coincidence... They all drive volvos.
