Low Volume Retro: Ford GT (Sep 15, 2012) The engine is based off fords 5.4 block. The heads are much different than the f150. I believe it's a 4 valve instead of just a 3 like the others. The lighting was only a 3 valve I believe. Gt500 and gt use the same motor.

It's in a different market. The Ferrari and the viper are the best in their markets. If one goes into the others it will fall short in some aspects. To be honest tho there are very few aspects that are better in either car.

It's a very special market the viper is in. That drivers/track car market. Tough to sell in because most of the time a track car will break your back on normal roads. I think "SRT" has pulled off the happy medium without sacrificing its performance. Very impressive.

2013 SRT Viper GTS-Rs Rock in their Return to ALMS at Mid-Ohio (Aug 07, 2012) The 8 liter engine gives them a big improvement in there torque curve. A far greater curve than the others in the field. Pushes fast out of the corner. with such a big engine the torque comes much easier compared to smaller motors who require a higher rev count to hit the big torque numbers.
