2013 SRT Viper GTS-Rs Rock in their Return to ALMS at Mid-Ohio (Aug 07, 2012) If someone shows up in a Viper or Vette, for the most part, they like to work on their car. They're usually very knowledgable about it, and they like the idea that if something goes wrong, they can fix it. They're gear head cars.
2013 SRT Viper GTS-Rs Rock in their Return to ALMS at Mid-Ohio (Aug 07, 2012) To me, there's a difference in the type of guy that buys a Vette or a Viper as opposed to someone who buys a Ferrari or Lamborghini. If someone pulls up in one of those, I just think "there's some rich guy who wants to show off his car."

It's meant to be exactly what it is: a high performance sports car. When's the last time Lamborghini won anything? There's a reason they didn't have a racing program until recently.

People who want a fancy Italian status symbol aren't comparing them to Vipers. It's a different type of car.
