Lexus Planning New IS F Coupe(Nov 06, 2012)I have ACTUAL photos of this car, not artist renderings. It was sitting on a stand inside the Lexus tent at SEMA. It's a finished car with a full interior. Put several images on my FB page. Still calling it LF-CC on the rear plate.
Chevy Previews 2012 SEMA Lineup(Oct 24, 2012)Based on what I see here (no Camaros, Corvettes ???) I will most likely be skipping right over GM and spending my time at the more exciting Ford and Mopar offerings. They've announced amazing rollouts already. This looks like a white flag for GM.
Cadillac ELR Headed for Production(Oct 17, 2012)I don't think much will change about this car except for the wheels. This concept has been on Cadillac's website for a year already and I see few changes. Outside of the anticipated high price (I lease anyhow) this is one bad a$$ game changer for GM.
Entry Level Exotics: Ferrari California(Oct 15, 2012)Stunning. Why would anyone criticize such a beautiful car? I prefer this model because it's more realistic to drive. The body design (vaguely) resembles a Corvette or an Aston or a Jag. Love this color!
Mopar Previews SEMA Show Cars(Oct 14, 2012)I'll swing by if Tom Brady will be there.
Otherwise, GM and Ford will be getting most of my attention. And of COURSE Wheels and Tires! Hottest cars and Girls love in Wheels and Tires section @SEMA.
4 Paris 2012 Supercars(Oct 06, 2012)Wow man, Daimler is really losing it.
How much of a market IS there for one off boutique mobiles ?!?
4 Paris 2012 Supercars(Oct 06, 2012)*(plug in and use again acknowledged)
That's a whopping $3,667 per mile from full to empty.
What a totally unnecessary waste of money and technology.
The next time someone complains about the price of an LFA, bitch slap them for me!
Performance AWD: Lamborghini Murcielago(Oct 03, 2012)Drove this same color car on a road course in Vegas, and it was a screaming monster. No fancy bells and whistles to save you; just you wrestling 600HP to the tune of $300K. May get to drive the Aventador this year @ SEMA for a comparison.
Non-Italian Exotics: Lexus LFA(Sep 28, 2012)Key difference; this is luxury w raw power. Vipers have no creature comforts at all and wouldn't survive as a daily driver. That said, as a 4x Lexus owner and supporter, where DO you drive a $350K car ?!?
Lexus LF-CC Concept Debuts in Paris(Sep 28, 2012)None of these grills have made it to production because there is no bumper hence no safety feature underneath. Happened to the GS, LS, RX so it'll happen to this too.
5 Contemporary Cop Cars(Sep 27, 2012)That's fricking hilarious how everyone rushes to defend the ugliest wheels ever but shreds a supercar. These look stolen off of a 10 year old Silverado work truck. Even pure black would have made more sense. Fail.
Lexus Reveals LF-CC Concept Ahead of Paris(Sep 17, 2012)Rear end has Infiniti written all over it. I can see the LFA influence on the front from here. Now render a 4 door which is what the majority of IS buyers are driving and buying anyhow.
Lexus Reveals LF-CC Concept Ahead of Paris(Sep 17, 2012)I fricking knew it. This is why I raced out to get my hands on a 2012 Ultrasonic Blue Mica F-Sport.
BMW, MB, Audi, Cadillac already running 4 cylinder cars. Are V6s really that evil that you too have to drop an anemic 4 ?!?
Chevrolet Pays Tribute to C1 Corvette(Sep 10, 2012)I agree. John Z DeLorean likewise seldom gets little recognition for the development and bringing to market the Pontiac Firebird and its Trans Am spawn.
Nissan Reveals All-New 2013 Sentra(Sep 03, 2012)Hate Nissan in general but I see where they're going with this. The design language across Maxima, Altima and Sentra is the same like Infiniti. Lexus doing the same with LS, ES, GS sharing similar front and rear geometry.
Weekly News Roundup: August 26th - September 1st(Sep 01, 2012)Isn't Buick the most coveted American brand in China? GM will be hard to penetrate the market against. Unless the Chinese have terrible taste in cars and embrace the awkward blandness that is Lincoln / Ford.
The World's Greatest Drag Race Returns for 2012(Aug 26, 2012)I've driven the GT-R on a track vs. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Aston Martin. Because of the TT and 4WD, it makes you a better driver than you really are and easily passes these other cars on a road course. Must respect a GT-R for the price.
Leaked: 2013 911 Carrera 4 and 4S Photos Hit the Web(Aug 26, 2012)I respect your opinion, but I like it.
It's annoying when you have a general idea what you're looking at but not the exact model. This spells it out clearly. And being an obsessive person about symmetry, the placement of the lettering is great.
4 Luxurious Lexus Concepts(Aug 05, 2012)Hey, why not? There's no SC anymore. Funny that a competing website is showing off a GS Coupe concept, you know...
Weekly DFA: Ferrari 458 Spider Driver Runs Over NYPD Cop's Foot(Aug 05, 2012)This guy is lucky as hell there are photos and video of this. Yes if he's driving a Ferrari he can afford the ticket. But maybe he's hiding other infractions or it's an Exotic Rental.
Guess what else he can afford? Helluva lawyer who will win this.
Has Japan Finally Found Its Design Niche?(Aug 02, 2012)For better or worse, Lexus is taking a tremendous step forward in design.
Notwithstanding the LFA, the newly redesigned GS, ES and LS are now closely tied together with the front, rear and overall interior/dash design. The GS coupe concept will kill!
Toronto Porsche Dealer Redefines Direct Marketing(Jul 31, 2012)Call the cops! (OK, Constable, it is Canada, eh?) A suspicious character is in our neighborhood.
I did this with my Lexus, though not in front of anyones house.
Rich people have the best landscaping for photo backdrops.
Lexus Unveils New 2013 LS Flagship(Jul 31, 2012)Really like how they incorporated a swooping "L" into the tail lights. Pure Lexus. Let's see Audi, BMW or Benz get away with that!
Wald Plots Upgrades for Toyota GT-86(Jul 29, 2012)Anyone else surprised how small these are in person ? I actually have 2 of the BRZ's where I work in black and in white (what are the odds, I thought they were limiting production?) and the fact they even have back seats is pretty useless.
Unearthed: 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT(Jul 28, 2012)A local owns one with an LT1 V8 engine transversed mounted. Bit of a Frankenstein but hugely popular at car shows. Like the Solstice, poorly executed great idea, but it was cool when it came out. Certainly more popular than Ford's Probe was.
Unearthed: 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT(Jul 28, 2012)Wow, near fail on this editorial. How could you possibly omit the body panels being resistant to dents and dings??? As a precursor to Saturn, the modular body panels were revolutionary at the time, but never caught on in the industry.
Unearthed: 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT(Jul 28, 2012)@Jared Thanks for adding facts. Hate when people make negative generalizations, especially admitting, "...never owned one..."
2013 Lexus LS Shows Up Early(Jul 28, 2012)I rushed out of my 2010 lease into a 2012 IS F Sport in case I don't care for the 2014 IS redesign.
I have been assured by a Lexus insider IS will retain V6 power, RWD, minor changes to body including front and rear fascia. Hence, all look the same.
2013 Lexus LS Shows Up Early(Jul 28, 2012)@Jordan, that's exactly what I meant.
In addition, all new Lexus interiors are going with the BMW style horizontal dash. I have always felt the "waterfall" vertical center stack console design was the most ergonomic in the industry.
Next-Gen Nissan GT-R in Jeopardy(Jul 27, 2012)If Lexus can justify the LFA, why not the GT-R ? I've driven this car on a track at ridiculous speeds and I ended passing Ferraris and Lamborghinis based on the 4 wheel drive and Twin Turbos. I thought moronic bean counters only existed at US manuf.
2013 Lexus LS Shows Up Early(Jul 27, 2012)Not really sure about the homogenous nature of all new Lexus sedans looking identical. Recently released ES and now LS are identical to newly redesigned GS. All now share same flat square rear ends and trunks, identical front grills. Next IS same?
Weekly News Roundup: July 15th - July 21st(Jul 21, 2012)Hey 'Merc, don't EVER criticize American car design after building this monstrosity on 4 wheels. Looks like a space age hearse. What a waste of automotive engineering technology. Will the tasteless consumer who asked for this to be built stand up?
Weekly News Roundup: July 15th - July 21st(Jul 21, 2012)Let's hope that wacko goes through with his plans to build a 'Ring Replica track in the Nevada desert. Seems impossible, considering how many manufacturers use it to prove their vehicles' mettle on the track and chasing records.
Cadillac ATS Takes on the World in New Ad Campaign(Jul 21, 2012)Not so fast. There's no easy way to say this: BMW fanboys border on brainwashed cult status and they associate a Cadillac with grandpa and won't accept an American car as being class leading anything based on a decades long predisposed reputation.
Cadillac ATS Takes on the World in New Ad Campaign(Jul 21, 2012)Come on Cadillac, let's be real.
Your pricing strategy, unfortunately, also follows BMW (Bring Money With).
$33K is for a sewing machine 4 cylinder. Turbo 4 is closer to $40K and top of the line V6 (Camaro engine) is closer to $45K. Just buy a CTS.
New Lexus IS Rendering Points At Evolution(Jul 17, 2012)So where's the spy shot updates?
Seven months and no leaks on the new IS? New ES debuts in a few weeks in showrooms and new LS purportedly intro on July 30th.
And the Most American-Made Car for 2012 is... (Jul 04, 2012)Car belongs to Kelly Fromm, a disabled veteran. It's sick fast, drag races, and is on tour around the U.S. Raffle tickets are being sold and funds raised are for veterans.
Epic B-List Celebrity Car Crashes(Jun 16, 2012)Happened in Tampa, FL. His passenger was left paralyzed and in need of 24 hour care the rest of his life. People don't realize the dangers of speed until its tragic ending.
