Fail of the Day: Chevrolet Corvette Crashes at Autocross(Nov 24, 2011)Same think happened in my home town several years ago. Older gent in a corvette in a parking lot taking a frown for a ride. He gasses it an plants it nose first into the concrete base of a light pole. Passenger was badly injured, driver was killed.
LA 2011: Subaru BRZ Concept STI(Nov 20, 2011)Ken, "1 inch is easier to visualize than 140mm." You goof, 140/25.4=5.511". I think 5.511 inches is easier to visualize than 1 inch. The metric system is great, if you can count to ten you've got it. Too hard?
Have a Trailer to Match Your Car?(Nov 20, 2011)Miguel, you have limited resources in your public school in New York which has one of the highest tax rates in the country. That's hilarious. Keep voting those democrats in office, they're doing a great job for you.
Have a Trailer to Match Your Car?(Nov 20, 2011)Cut him a break, I've learned that most who comment on CarBuzz are underage and under-educated. Makes you wonder how they can have an opinion having never owned a vehicle.
Hardwood Concept Cars(Nov 20, 2011)This has really been done by a industrial design grad student gem North Carolina State University as a senior project. It was featured about 5 years ago in one of the major car mags, motor trend, car and driver, road and track, one of those.
Ferrari F40 Totaled by the Teutons in Southern Germany(Nov 17, 2011)Ken, I have not put down an entire countries engines by stating a fact about the LS7 you block head! I've praised the LS line many times in other posts. Why can't you open your eyes to the fact that other manufacturers make great engines too?
Ferrari F40 Totaled by the Teutons in Southern Germany(Nov 16, 2011)Ken, the LS7 engine is not bullet proof. Chevy has had problems with this engine. Yes, LS engines van achieve the power you're talking about but not without major upgrades. I'm talking production engines Ken. Apples to apples.
Ferrari F40 Totaled by the Teutons in Southern Germany(Nov 16, 2011)Shane, the 2.9L Ferrari F40 engine: 478hp, 426ft. lbs torque.
LS7: 505hp, 475ft. lbs. torque.
For the LS7 to make the same power per liter as the Ferrari it would have to make 1204hp and 1132ft. lbs. of torque. Also the Ferrari engine is 24 years old
Ferrari F40 Totaled by the Teutons in Southern Germany(Nov 16, 2011)I talked to a F40 owner at a Ferrari cruise in down in Savanna Georgia one time. He had owned it since new and you could tell by the wear and tear it was a driver. He never once mentioned it was twitchy at speed.
Official: 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe(Nov 15, 2011)Michael, I guess they copied the steering wheel from a ford model T. I mean, they couldn't have come up with it on their own, stupid Koreans.
Official: 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe(Nov 15, 2011)Every manufacturer has a brand distinct front end, I'm glad to see Hyundai finally develop one which I think looks great. Every Chevy, minus the Vette has a horizontal bar with the bow-tie on it.
Official: 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe(Nov 15, 2011)For so long Hyundai has lagged behind every other manufacturer. This jumps over them and lands clearly in first place. Can't wait to see what the other makers do to compete.
Hyundai Release Teaser Shots of 2012 Genesis Coupe(Nov 09, 2011)Andrew, don't put words in my mouth. I didn't call muscle useless nor imports shitty. Buy either one, I don't car. My point is that a Honda civic doing 120mph is just as fast as a mustang GT500 doing 120mph.
Hyundai Release Teaser Shots of 2012 Genesis Coupe(Nov 09, 2011)I see more kids in Camaro's and Mustangs. Yeah, they're nice and the V8's are fast, but the kids with their V6's look just as clueless in their wannabe muscle as the kids in their imports.
Hyundai Release Teaser Shots of 2012 Genesis Coupe(Nov 09, 2011)Ford or GM could ever make or has ever made. They have the money, they have the manufacturing capability. I'm sure they could dumb down their engineers enough to design a big block push-rod V8 and a 4 barrel carb to put in it.
Hyundai Release Teaser Shots of 2012 Genesis Coupe(Nov 09, 2011)I don't get it when people post things like "they could never make". A automobile manufacturer can build any type of vehicle it wants with deep enough pockets. If they wanted, Hyundai could build a muscle car that would blow the doors of anything
Video: Redefine Hunting in the Chevy Silverado Realtree Concept(Nov 05, 2011)Look at this thing. Who would get in to this after dragging a deer carcass through the woods that's been bleeding all over you?
Zach, how deep do you go into the woods to hunt? I park at the entrance to my grounds and ride the ATV in. No GPS needed.
Video: Redefine Hunting in the Chevy Silverado Realtree Concept(Nov 05, 2011)My hunting truck is a beater Nissan hardbody 4x4. It has less than 160hp but has never left me stranded. It has an open bed for my 4-wheeler. I can take it thru thick brush and scratch it up. The only thing this chevy will hunt is little redneck gals
Hyundai Genesis Hurricane SC Coupe Debuts at SEMA 2011(Nov 03, 2011)Justin, turbo's rob power by impeding the free flow of exhaust gasses out of the engine. Today's TVS (Twin Vortices Series) superchargers that use lobed rotors are so efficient they draw less than 1/2 of 1 HP off the engine.
Nissan’s ‘Taxi of Tomorrow’ Teased to New Yorkers(Nov 01, 2011)The Nissan van was the cheapest of the to buy and operate, according to city officials, largely due to its fuel efficiency.
They won a competition, that's why it was chosen. Nissan is GIVING 6 Leafs to NYC. Also, NYC taxpayers are buying not US taxes
SEMA 2011: Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series(Nov 01, 2011)Not Asian, I'm a Redneck. If you're Korean you ought to know what a ChoDan is. Anyway, why is Toyota, a company who's business is the production of vehicles, not meant to produce trucks?
SEMA 2011: Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series(Nov 01, 2011)I'm just sick of Raptor fanboys attacking every truck posted on CB. Some of you are so maniacal about the raptor you're blind to the fact that other manufacturers trucks are great products too.
SEMA 2011: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Tribute Edition(Oct 31, 2011)I'm no GM fan but, the LS is one of the most awesome engines EVER. When you look at the raw power GM is able to get out this old school pushrod engine, keeping the package small and versatile, it's a testament to the design and ingenuity at GM. Like!
Leaked: Toyota FT-86 from a Brochure in Japan?(Oct 28, 2011)The aftermarket industry is hurting because of many things. Mainly the market economy in the US. My circle of friends have put off mods mainly because of fuel prices and the uncertainty of employment.
Video: Silverado Realtree Concept to Debut at SEMA 2011(Oct 28, 2011)Patrick, what's really stupid is that if this thing were a Japanese brand everyone of you fanboys would be calling this a stupid ricer. Go back and look at any foreign brand with stickers on it and read the post.
