Could Honda Power McLaren Sportscars?(May 19, 2013)@Daniel, I hate the P1 too, so don't think you're alone against the troll army lol. I just think its a silly car. Designed to eat tracks for breakfast, but to expensive to be bought by anyone who will do anything but put it in their collection to rot in boredom.
Could Honda Power McLaren Sportscars?(May 19, 2013)This looks like its smiling at you... It's an idiot in car form. The 458 tho, that looks like its tracking you, like its an assassin and you're it's latest target. It's fantastic.
Could Honda Power McLaren Sportscars?(May 19, 2013)vv Exactly my point, no one wants there $100,000 supercar to have an engine with a Honda badge on it, it's just not cool. Anyone ever wonder why the new NSX is an Acura instead of a Honda? Yeah.
Could Honda Power McLaren Sportscars?(May 19, 2013)I hate to sound like Jeremy Clarkson here, but there's a point to made. Imagine you're Mr. Loads'a'money, and you just spent $150,000 on your 911-competitor supercar from McLaren... "And the best part is, the engine's made by HONDA!"
... I think that kinda ruins it.
Fiesta Prototype Packs eWheelDrive(Apr 29, 2013)Ok... I love Ford, and I adore the Fiesta, I drive one lol; but this is a stupid idea for one reason... It's an EV. Batteries are from the devil, Ford. Make it a hydrogen fuel cell car, and you've got a winner, but batteries are no bueno IMO.
McLaren Losing Money?(Apr 29, 2013)And, according to my opinion as well as that of many others, the Ferrari is the better car to DRIVE. Yes it's slower on a track, but no REAL car lover gives a crap about that IMO. I love cars, not numbers.
McLaren Losing Money?(Apr 29, 2013)Other computer systems, and the 458 remains the better, purer DRIVERS CAR when all that crap is turned off. My point is this: McLaren seems to be too concerned with numbers and lap times for my taste. I care more about what a car is like to drive...
McLaren Losing Money?(Apr 29, 2013)@Jonah, don't talk to me like I don't know what I'm talking about, cuz I do. I realize that on paper, just in terms of numbers, the MP4 is a much better car than the 458; however, I also realize that a lot of that depends on sophisticated TC and...
Toyota Unveils 2014 4Runner(Apr 29, 2013)It doesn't need to be a Ferrari or Lambo interior, it just needs to be higher quality than a sewage plant... And this isn't.
Toyota Unveils 2014 4Runner(Apr 29, 2013)I hate Toyota, but even I must admit that they're stupidly successful. I resent how successful Toyota's boring, dreary, fun-killing, bland, slow, ugly, lifeless cars are.
McLaren Losing Money?(Apr 29, 2013)I'll probly get trolled for this, but I don't like McLaren anyway, so I don't care what anyone says.
These guys spend too much time and money working on computers and traction control systems to drive the car for you and not nearly enough time on actual engineering to make a good car (Ferrari 458 anyone?). They need to quit screwing around with computers or else go into business with Microsoft and leave the cars to someone who can afford it.
Noble M600: Britains Answer to Ferrari(Apr 21, 2013)I'd much rather hav this. The M600 is about pure, unadulterated driving pleasure and I love that. Ferrari be ______ (insert expletive here).
Noble M600: Britains Answer to Ferrari(Apr 21, 2013)Yes, but this is WAY quicker than the McLaren, more exclusive, rarer; and as an added bonus, it isn't built by emotionless boffins. Instead, this is built by 2 blokes in a shed who really love cars and the pure sensation of driving.
Chevy Camaro Z/28 Muscles Into NY(Mar 28, 2013)My beef with this is they've resurrected the Z/28 nameplate and then stuffed the wrong engine in it. Doesn't anyone at Chevy remember how the first Z/28 came about? Trans Am? Anyone? *sigh*
Pony Car Icons, Part 7: Dodge Challenger(Mar 02, 2013)@Luke: That's exactly correct, Chrysler only gave those numbers to try (and fail) to soften up the insurance costs. In actuality a Hemi was making 500+ hp and tq on a dyno.
Rare Hemi Challenger on the Auction Block(Mar 02, 2013)@Tim: I'd like to see your Nova blow the doors off of anything with a 426 in it. The Hemi cars are a whole other kind of fast to "normal" muscle cars.
Toyota Unveils GT 86 Convertible(Mar 01, 2013)I hate when people whine about the 0-60 time on a car that wasn't designed to be blistering lay quick. "I'd buy a Prius, but the 0-60 time is too slow." Stupid!
5 Affordable First Cars(Mar 01, 2013)If you've been keeping up with the brand lately, CB, you'd know that Kia has been lying about their MPG. Sorry, but that just ruins the brand's credibility for me. I didn't like before, and I'm sure not gonna buy one now. Not to mention it's absolutely HIDEOUS.
5 Affordable First Cars(Mar 01, 2013)I've driven 2 of these, a base model with 2.0 4-banger and a "Rallye" with the 1.4 Turbo. Liked both a lot, the 1.4 turbo especially. Quick, comfortable, roomy, good to drive. The dash is horribly confusing and it had a MILLION buttons on the steering wheel, none of which I could figure out. In terms of "fun", I'd still take a Focus or Mazda3 in this class, but this is still a fun car.
5 Affordable First Cars(Mar 01, 2013)I like the new look, definitely an improvement over the Aveo (tho that's not saying much), but recently talked with someone who had one for several years and said it was terrible. Said the ride, handling, power, equipment were all crap. He said he liked the way the interior looked tho lol
5 Affordable First Cars(Mar 01, 2013)Fantastic looking car IMHO, but I still prefer the last body style (the one I have lol, yes I am biased XD)
5 Affordable First Cars(Mar 01, 2013)Love my Fiesta, got it when I was 18 (19 now). I'm not saying its the best at anything (maybe it is, maybe it isn't), but I love it for one simple reason: it's a cheap everyday car that WILL put a smile on your face. Simple as that.
Did Pagani Cheat on Top Gear?(Feb 27, 2013)You could put this thing on square tires and still set a record lol, it's faster than the Atom in a straight line. It's more powerful, lighter, and handles better than the MP4-12C and Aventador. I don't see how it could be slower, personally.
Motorsport Marques: Honda(Feb 27, 2013)@Carlos, yeah I'm kinda thinking the same thing. Honda's no where near as Motorsport-y as a lot of other companies.
Why the MX-5 is Still the Best(Feb 27, 2013)My in-car necessities list is covered here. Radio: check. Air conditioning: check. What else do you really NEED?
Why the MX-5 is Still the Best(Feb 27, 2013)Anyone who says this is a girl car either hasn't driven one, has some serious self-esteem issues (compensating much?) or a combination of the 2.
Did Pagani Cheat on Top Gear?(Feb 27, 2013)This is just a bunch of fanboys for those other cars getting all butthurt cuz the Huayra is an epic machine and those other cars can't even begin to keep up. This coming from someone who still prefers the Zonda.
McLaren Reveals Production P1(Feb 26, 2013)Yeah, I gotta say I'd rather have a lot of cars over this, and I can't really put my finger on why. Just not my cup of tea, this thing.
McLaren Reveals Production P1(Feb 26, 2013)Once again Jack, you've failed to read other people's comments or understand what they're saying. For crying out loud dude, for all the time u clearly spend on Wikipedia, u sure don't have much reading comprehension. Nobody has EVER said that the ZR1 will even so much as keep up with this on a track. Where do you get this crap from?
Nismo GT-R Coming in 2014(Feb 26, 2013).1 of a second 0-60 difference doesn't do crap in the 1/4 mile without the power to keep the car accelerating, bud, 0-60 only matters for the first 4 seconds or so, then it's stuff like power-to-weight and 0-100 that matter. Obviously it makes some difference, but that's not to say that the faster car to 60 always wins a drag race, there's more to it than that. Really everyone here has said something correct, making a car go fast is the product of a lot of factors, not just power or 0-60 times.
Nismo GT-R Coming in 2014(Feb 26, 2013)I'm staggered that anyone could think a '69 Camaro was ugly... It's easily one of the best looking cars ever made, and that's not just my opinion, ask anyone... Well, except for that guy who just said he doesn't like them, obviously.
Audi R8 GTR by ABT(Feb 26, 2013)Brett... Undersized package syndrome much, buddy? Seriously, chill out.
Motorsport Marques: Porsche(Feb 26, 2013)I agree it'd be cool to see Porsche in rallying again, but the prospect is so far fetched its depressing to think about. Porsche would pretty much have to start with a new car to even think about qualifying.
Nismo GT-R Coming in 2014(Feb 26, 2013)@Matt That's why I like it, it's not a cookie cutter crossover like all the others. Yes it's hideous, but at least it's different.
5 Aston Martin Concepts(Feb 26, 2013)I agree that the Cygnet was a terrible idea, but it's not like AM had a choice. It's those frigin EU emissions regulations fault.
Rolls-Royce Issues Final Wraith Teaser(Feb 26, 2013)It's a Rolls-Royce, bro, don't expect some stripped-out superlight hypercar. It'll weigh AT LEAST 2 tons, it'll be quick too, no doubt, but insanely heavy.
Top 5 All-American Supercars(Feb 26, 2013)Actually, Jack has a shrine to McLaren next to the TopGear track, since those are the only things with any importance in his pathetic little world. Must be lonely.
Top 5 All-American Supercars(Feb 25, 2013)Oh my god, this is absurd. Ok people, line up ur crap cars against this beast and let's see what's what. (Jack, u can use a hotwheels since obviously you're only 7 and can't drive yet)
