GM Fast-Tracking Next-Gen Full-Size Trucks(10 hours ago)She traded it for a 1999 Lincoln Navigator. If you a want a lousy and cheap vehicle that costs a fortune to fix and buy, then buy a Navigator or Expedition. She isn't the only one I've heard of that has problems out of these Navigators.
GM Fast-Tracking Next-Gen Full-Size Trucks(11 hours ago)Okay. I've got a story. My grandmother had a 1997 Ford Explorer that she bought new. It was an all around great and nice SUV with leather interior, you name it. But, as it got older she began to have little problems with it.
GM Fast-Tracking Next-Gen Full-Size Trucks(Jul 30, 2014)I know a mechanic who works for the Ford dealership in my little town of Pell City, Alabama. He said that Ford trucks are always in the shop for engine problems. So, GM has had problems. Well, so has Ford. No company is perfect.
GM Fast-Tracking Next-Gen Full-Size Trucks(Jul 29, 2014)My Uncle has a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado and it's still going. He had to replace something in the engine last year, but that's it engine wise. The cloth padding on the passenger side door has peeled though. My
Chrysler's New Big Crossover Will Have a Minivan Platform(Jul 27, 2014)They should have removed the Town & Country instead of the Grand Caravan. The Grand Caravan came before the Town & Country. However, I did hear that Sergio said he wasn't dropping the Caravan name, just the Grand part.
What Are Today's Most Popular Car Body Styles?(Jul 19, 2014)Has anyone ever noticed how the b pillar between the front doors and rear doors as well as the c pillar before the quarter window has a glossy finish? But, then when you look at the front pillar where the mirror is, it's not glossy.
Could the 2016 Cadillac SRX Really be Made in China?(Jul 09, 2014)@Adrian: Well, excuse me for being so dumb and thank you for being so smart. To the person who said Fiat/Chrysler is doing a good job. You're wrong. Marchionne is screwing up, and he needs to take some advice from Iacocca.
And Now Chrysler Has Issued an Ignition Switch Recall(Jul 04, 2014)Yes, the Grand Caravan is bigger. Yes, there's a much of a space difference. Try out a Journey with the 3rd row. They shouldn't even make a Journey with a 3rd row. The 3rd row of a Journey is more for little kids and babies.
And Now Chrysler Has Issued an Ignition Switch Recall(Jul 03, 2014)You know, I don't think the latest Mustangs (previous & current gens) have had many recalls. A friend of my family who works at our local Ford dealer in town said that the Mustang was about the only Ford that doesn't have many repairs or problems.
And Now Chrysler Has Issued an Ignition Switch Recall(Jul 03, 2014)Also, car makers making cars with their hands like the old days was a better idea, instead of letting a machine do it. That machine makes mistakes, and that's probably why there are so many recalls.
And Now Chrysler Has Issued an Ignition Switch Recall(Jul 03, 2014)Chrysler had a recall years ago that had something to do with the ignition switch in the minivans, didn't they? The vans would come out of park and run over somebody. Many deaths of young children. The company was sued.
The Jeep Cherokee Still Looks Weird as a 3-Door(Jun 27, 2014)V So, canceling the production of the Grand Caravan was a good choice for him? No, it wasn't. I don't care what anyone says. You don't cancel production of a vehicle that sells the most. In my opinion, he has ruined the company.
The Jeep Cherokee Still Looks Weird as a 3-Door(Jun 27, 2014)No, Chrysler's new CEO ruined it. I don't like Marchionne and his plans for the automaker. He has ruined Chrysler. The Cherokee should have been like the old Cherokee instead of ruining it.
Many Chinese Won't Buy Japanese Cars Because History(May 31, 2014)Yeah, that's true. But, some adults love to drive Camrys or Accords for their reliability history. A lot of these country boys in Alabama like trucks that are lifted 4x4s. Fords, Chevys, GMCs, Rams, and Dodges.
Many Chinese Won't Buy Japanese Cars Because History(May 31, 2014)I believe it's because of the 6 speed automatic transmission. It has a software problem. But, all in all, they are great vehicles and that's why she will not buy Japanese, because her brother was in the war.
Many Chinese Won't Buy Japanese Cars Because History(May 31, 2014)My grandmother currently has a 2005
Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. It's been a great all around vehicle for her. My mother also has a 2012 Grand Caravan Crew. The 2008-2014 Grand Caravans are not as good as the previous generation.
Many Chinese Won't Buy Japanese Cars Because History(May 31, 2014)My grandmother said that she refused to buy a Japanese car, she said she will always buy American. Her brother, my Great Uncle was a prisoner in the Japanese war. They abused him. He earned a Purple Heart.
Here's One Chevy Cobalt Story Not About Death(May 29, 2014)You can always find a cherry of a car. Not all has to be lemons. But, after most of the Cavaliers get old, the part between the dash and windshield ends up falling apart. This occurs in 1996 to 2005 models.
Jeep Just Can't Get the Cherokee to Work Right(May 29, 2014)Oh, and after the software upgrade for the 6 speed automatic, there will still issues with harsh shifting at times. I don't know if Chrysler knows about the problem, or they just don't care.
Jeep Just Can't Get the Cherokee to Work Right(May 29, 2014)It's still a Chrysler with a bad transmission, and that's no surprise for Chrysler at all. They recalled their minivans and other cars due to a software problem with the 6 speed automatic. The 6 speed was having problems with hard shifting as well.
An Already Crappy Car Gets Recalled Due to a Potential Fire(May 24, 2014)My Mom had a Forenza. It was a very cheap car. It was getting to small, so we traded it for a Grand Vitara, then the Grand Vitara was getting too small, so that's when we upgraded to a 2012 Grand Caravan. The Vitara was a good little SUV.
