Mini’s JCW Countryman Breaks Cover Ahead of Geneva (Mar 03, 2012) @Craig....and Morgan for example, who still make them as they were 50 years ago....my point was, the mini is such an iconic design, and look at the Fiat 500....very popular and looks almost identical to the original and it is that nostalgia factor that sells it.

You wanted a prestige brand but needed room for the dogs the size of ponies. It's basically catering for the demographic which for these brands are middle age and above with families normally so it makes sense for them. Give me an electric car whose paint is effectively a massive solar panel and it recharges as you drive or when it's just parked and then we have something.

First Jaguar did it and now Ford are doing it and for me it is far too similar to the Aston.
