BMW Will Build a Z2, However...(May 11, 2014)Mike, that's like saying it's better to saw off one arm rather than both of them. It's still pretty bad.
BMW have truly lost it. People who buy sports cars are much more likely to know where the power goes, so I reckon it won't send profits soaring.
Don't Expect the Kia GT4 Stinger to Make Production(May 11, 2014)Errr, Peter Schreyer is a car designer, not a businessman. With the greatest respect to his knowledge, I wouldn't say he's the best one to ask about whether people would buy an actual car.
That said, I do agree with him. But then, being a car nut...
London Cyclist Slugged by Audi Driver(Jan 30, 2014)The Audi driver was definitely in the wrong and the cyclist was right to be annoyed.
I do think, however, chasing after him was unnecessary. The Audi driver was a dick for punching him though.
Cars America Missed Out On: Volkswagen Scirocco R(Jan 25, 2014)"the also gorgeous Audi A5"
CarBuzz, I'm sorry, but I could write better than that. And I'm not even out of high school. Please tackle the issue of your 'writers' not being able to write...
Subaru Does Awesome Concepts, Boring Production Cars(Nov 25, 2013)I think you're being a little harsh. I think the latest WRX actually follows the concept pretty well all things considered. Why the fuss? At least they made it. Besides, it's not as if though the 'WRX' was ever renowned for good looks to start with..
Finally! People are Getting Tired of Crossover Coupes(Oct 12, 2013)This isn't particularly enlightening, especially since car sales might have dropped in general as well, which might explain it.
A bit quick to assume the reasons, although I do think these ghastly things should be destroyed like any other person.
Opel Adam May Come to the US as a Buick(Sep 14, 2013)It's really customisable - which isn't common in cars surprisingly, unless you're absolutely minted. This is a clever idea, if saddled with THAT name...
Finally, Audi's Big Debut Of "Two" New Models(Aug 22, 2013)It looks so dull. Mercedes and Jaguar are making great big saloons/sedans, whilst BMW and Audi are just rehashing crappy designs with slightly changed lights. Hope that's reflected in their sales.
Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille Unveiled(Aug 18, 2013)It's not necessarily the longest in production, but I think people are bored of Bugatti merely applying different colour schemes to the same car. The Gallardo evolved, as did the Zonda (particularly the latter).
I want to see something tangibly new.
BMW 8 Series Ain't Gonna Happen(Aug 16, 2013)I dunno. You'd be surprised how many cars borrow from seemingly much cheaper brethren. Just look at the Gallardo versus the R8, for instance. Same base, both very different.
I think this car could work if BMW really did it properly. It could be mega
Tesla Wants to Ditch Side Mirrors(Aug 16, 2013)They do have a few good reasons to be fair. They're not great for low drag aerodynamics, they widen the total width of the car (in some cases), and apparently, every designer's dream is to have them removed.
Still want nice old mirrors cheers.
BMW i8 Model Offers First Look at New Supercar(Aug 15, 2013)Great though it is and all, I think 'supercar' is the wrong word given the performance...
I'd say sub-4 seconds and 180 mph+ is enough performance to classify as a supercar these days. This car achieves neither statistic...
BMW i8 Model Offers First Look at New Supercar(Aug 15, 2013)Guys, the entire body is functional to minimise drag. It's definitely not over-designed: over-engineered is more like it, and that can only be a good thing.
Here's hoping it rocks. BMW may finally have a decent sports car at last.
New Mercedes S65 AMG is Blaring on the Ring(Aug 15, 2013)Is it just me, or is anyone else confused as to why a luxury saloon is being tested at a race track?
Even accounting for it being an AMG model, I think buyers would rather have ride comfort rather than 'Ring times...
CarTube Will Be the Death of Us All(Aug 09, 2013)It's scary to think that cars may start turning into this kind of thing one day - nothing more than dirty great big mobile phones, or swish little laptops to boast to your friends.
It'd be a sad demise to a great breed of machines.
Pope Francis is Putting an End to Opulent Popemobiles(Jul 21, 2013)I wouldn't mind what car people bought if they're enthusiasts and care and deliberately picked it, but good on this guy for following his words. Maybe not to the same extent (not easy to buy an armoured car), but I wish more people were like him.
Next Mazda MX-5 Details Coming to Light(Jul 19, 2013)@Robi, you're right, but it's good for fuel consumption as well, so Mazda's average CO2 rating will lower, which is good.
Plus, less power will be needed to make the same performance as the current gen. There are practical reasons for this move.
