A Wrangler pickup and Grand Wagoneer could be among them.
Jeep is arguably the most valuable brand in the FCA group. Yet, its product line is weak in a few spots and could easily be improved with a few refreshes. Luckily, Jeep is working on new models and Automotive News reports that we can expect to some of these awesome new Jeeps soon. The first new model of note is a sub-compact Jeep below the Renegade. Jeep has talked about and denied building a model to slot below the Renegade, but chances are that this model would only be sold outside of the US, if it does in fact get green-lit for production.

The next new model will be a refreshed Renegade, which is built in Italy on a Fiat platform. The Compass was just recently refreshed in a big way, so it should stay the same until around 2020. The Cherokee is also pretty modern, and should wait until 2021 for a refresh. Now we move on to the really interesting stuff. We have all been waiting to see the next-generation Jeep Wrangler, and it will finally make its debut in December at the LA Auto Show. The new Wrangler will then arrive in dealer showrooms in early 2018. There are also rumors of a new Jeep Scrambler, which would be a small pick truck based on the new Wrangler. The Scrambler wouldn't arrive in dealers until 2019, but it might be the Jeep model that we're most excited for.

While the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will arrive in showrooms this year, the Grand Cherokee won't be updated until the 2020 model year. Finally, Jeep has been tossing around the idea of building a larger SUV and bringing back the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer nameplates. These two SUVs would slot above the Grand Cherokee, and are rumored to ride on the RAM 1500 platform. These SUVs would be the ideal competition for the Chevy Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade, and could even been compared to a Range Rover or Cayenne. We think that a full-size luxury SUV from Jeep could be incredible. This is exactly what the Jeep brand needs to cement itself as a true alternative to foreign luxury brands.
