Behold what Brabus claims is the "world's most powerful twelve-cylinder off-road vehicle."
Brabus has been on fine form lately turning already powerful Mercedes machines into even more extreme monsters. Recently, the German tuner unveiled its 700-horsepower take on the AMG E63 sedan, and the Rocket 900 Cabrio as the world’s fastest four-seater convertible. Now, just in time for the Frankfurt Motor Show, Brabus lifts the wraps off what it claims is the "world's most powerful twelve-cylinder off-road vehicle." Behold the bonkers Brabus 900 “One of Ten."

Based on the AMG G65, this crazy off-roader has been tuned to produce a whopping 888 horsepower. Now that’s the sort of send-off the G-Wagon deserves before the all-new 2019 G-Class arrives. Limited to only 10 examples, the Brabus 900 “One of Ten” can produce an astounding 1,106 lb-ft of torque, but it‘s electronically limited to 885 lb-ft. Whereas the standard AMG G65 takes 5.3 seconds to hit the 0-62 mph, the Frankfurt-bound Brabus 900 takes just 3.9 seconds to do the sprint. Top speed has been significantly increased too, from 143 mph to a limited 168 mph. Matching the mad off-roader's performance is an outlandish exterior.

Brabus has fitted the G65 with a gargantuan wide body kit featuring copious amounts of carbon fiber that adds 12 centimeters to the off-roader’s width. All chrome parts of the G65 are painted in black, and the door mirrors have been upgraded with naked carbon covers. Replacing the G65’s standard alloys are massive 23-inch forged wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires. Housed inside the “king-size” wheels is the largest braking system ever designed for an SUV, according to Brabus. Inside the leather cabin, Brabus has removed the G65’s rear bench and replaced it with individual seats separated by a center console with a 4.3-inch touch panel and an integrated safe with an electrically powered drawer.

It even has heated and cooled cup holders for the rear passengers. With its limited availability and insane performance, the Brabus 900 “One of Ten” doesn’t come cheap – it will set you back around $800,000. The very first Brabus 900 “One of Ten” out of the ten models planned will make its world debut at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
