With everything from the Demon to the Toyota’s mystery SUV showing up, this year’s show will be one for the books.
The New York Auto Show starts next week and already we’ve seen our fair share of reveals, teaser images, and speculations on just what the world’s automakers have in store for the show. Like last year, this year’s show is already shaping up to be chalked full of drool-inducing cars of all shapes and sizes. As you can already imagine, we’re excited to be on the showroom floor smelling that new preproduction car smell. Here’s what you can expect to see.
20 Cars We Can’t Wait To See At The 2017 New York Auto Show
1) Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: This is Dodge’s Hellcat replacement with an undisclosed amount of power and a seemingly endless list of hints clueing us in on its hardware. Expect it to somehow outdo the Hellcat, or just about any other muscle car currently available. 2) Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk: Speaking of the Hellcat, Jeep is expected to pull the wraps off of this Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee and blow our notions about the entire Jeep brand out of the water. Whether it arrives on scene with all 707 horsepower intact remains to be seen.

3) Alfa Romeo Stelvio: And the FCA party continues with Alfa Romeo bringing the lower trim Stelvio and Stelvio Ti to the venue. With 280 horsepower and a top speed of 144 mph, expect both Stelvios to offer a reason to walk away from the F-Pace and into an Alfa Romeo dealership. 4) Mercedes-AMG GLC63: Continuing the SUV powerhouse theme is the Mercedes GLC63 SUV and Coupe as well as the GLC63 S Coupe. AMG performance bits, a Panamericana grille, and a gut-punching 503 horsepower coming from a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 makes this one of the most enticing performance SUVs yet.

5) Mercedes-AMG GT Concept: Carrying the AMG torch for the non-SUV camp will be the AMG GT Concept. We already saw this AMG at the Geneva Motor Show, but given how Americans will likely gobble up this sleek and powerful four-door, Mercedes just had to send it to New York for an introduction to North America. 6) Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid: President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel may not be the best of friends, but that wont stop Germany from invading US driveways. To help on that front, Porsche is bringing the 680 horsepower Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid to the Big Apple for a proper US meet and greet.

7) Panamera Sport Turismo Wagon: Don’t forget the Panamera Sport Turismo Wagon, one of an increasingly growing number of wagons your kids won’t hate you for dropping them off at school with. 8) Porsche 911 GT3: And then there’s the highly anticipated Porsche 911 GT3 making its first American debut to join the rest of the family. 9) Audi RS3 Sedan: Your best bet at a semi-affordable M2 fighter with room for family or friends is here! 10) Audi TT RS: Or if transporting others isn’t an issue, why not opt for the new TT RS?

11) Infiniti QX80 Monograph: We’re not really sure what Infiniti has planned here, but it could be anything from an improved look over the current Nissan Patrol-based QX80 to an entirely new model. 12) Nissan GT-R Track Edition: Infiniti’s parent company Nissan isn’t playing around this year, and proof is in the GT-R Track Edition, a half step between the standard GT-R and the truly wild GT-R NISMO. 13) Nissan 370Z Heritage: Despite the focus on the newer models, Nissan hasn’t forgotten its roots and is trying to prove it with the 370Z Heritage Edition.

14) Toyota FT-4X Concept: Over in the Toyota corner will be the FT-4X Concept, likely a rugged off-roading SUV reminiscent of the FJ Cruiser. Toyota could be dangling it out to see if the audience likes it enough to justify building it. 15) Lexus LS F Sport: The LS F Sport is the luxury sedan you want if there’s a long winding road between your house in the hills and the rest of society. 16) Acura TLX: By the looks of the teaser image, the new Acura TLX will reinforce the automaker’s recent revelation that to sell Japanese luxury, you need to take Lexus’ approach and go radical with the grilles.

17) Honda Civic Si: For the casual enthusiast with the needs and budget of a normal person, the Honda Civic Si will come in and save the day. Oh, and it’s only available with a manual. 18) Buick Regal: The changing tides have brought America a Buick wagon dubbed the TourX and a sleek hatchback called the Sportback. Where this will go is anyone’s guess. 19) Land Rover Velar: Styled and priced to move in massive volumes, the Range Rover Velar is likely to be Land Rover’s hottest SUV yet. Which is saying a lot given that Land Rover invented the luxury SUV genre in the first place.

20) Volvo XC60: With the SUV now reigning king, it does Volvo no good to try and win Americans over with anything less than its most attractive pick yet, of course with a look and price point intended to teleport money out of your bank account and into Swedish coffers.
