All will be revealed next week.
With a solitary tweet showing the following picture and the words: “Huge unveil. 11 April 2017. New York.” Infiniti has announced its intent for next week’s New York Auto Show. While the Japanese carmaker is remaining guarded in its description, the picture reveals the QX80 Monograph is getting an all-new front end, complete with a more sculpted hood, large air intakes at the corners, redesigned LED headlights that sit higher up on the fenders, a new front bumper and a windshield that wraps further around the full-size SUV.

There also appears to be a new wheel design in the offing. Whether the teaser is suggesting an all-new generation is on the way or that the QX80 Monograph is simply getting a comprehensive refresh remains to be seen. Having spent a week with what is essentially a luxury variant of the Nissan Patrol, we were convinced it represents the best value-for-money SUV in its class. With a 5.6-liter V8 rated at 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, the ability to get to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, a first-class cabin with buckets of space and styling that doesn’t polarize opinion like the Escalade, there’s a lot to be said for the $90,000 QX80. And we look forward to seeing how Infiniti intends to improve upon it next week in New York.
