The stuffy Brit shows its lighter side.
Bentley has commissioned British pop art legend, Sir Peter Blake, to create the world’s first pop art Bentley. Using a Continental GT V8 S as his canvas, Sir Peter’s trademark heart motif and use of collage features striking, but clearly defined, colors. St. Luke’s Blue adorns the doors, boot lid and rear haunches. The hood is finished in Continental Yellow and British Racing Green was used for the lower body and Fuchsia pink was applied to the radiator shell.

The interior features seats individually trimmed in different leather colors of Cumbrian Green, Imperial Blue, Newmarket Tan and Hotspur. The same hide colors can be seen on the steering wheel, center console, and stitching, while the Piano Black trim perfectly frames the vivid pink leather gear lever. A "No. 1 of 1" treadplate signifies this unique creation as a one-off, and Sir Peter Blake ’s signature is embroidered on the headrests and etched on the fascia panel. Right now you might be wondering who Sir Peter Blake is. He's best known for designing the album sleeve for The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Speaking of the project he said: "I am proud to have been involved with transforming this beautiful car, and have enormous admiration for the people at Bentley who brought my design into being, to produce this one-off lovely car.” Bonhams will auction the Bentley art car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June, with all funds raised going to the Care2Save Charitable Trust which provides palliative and hospice care around the world.
