This car is VIN number 004, and the other red, white, and blue prototypes currently reside in the Ford museum. Those cars were made for display only, meaning that this was the first running and driving Ford GT ever built. The car comes with the factory build sheet and the equipment used for emissions and road testing. According to the Barrett-Jackson listing
, the car is signed by the "13 members of the original GT design team, including Carroll Shelby, Bill Ford, GT Chief Designer Camillo Pardo and GT Chief Design Engineer Fred Goodnow." We previously saw this car up for sale about a year ago at a dealership in New York
, but the price was not listed and it probably never sold, hence the upcoming auction.
