Excited? Damn well ought to be.
To say that we’ve been anxious about the upcoming topless variant of the Pagani Huayra would be an understatement. Once you’ve seen a Pagani – any Pagani – in person and you’ll understand better. While many wrongly predicted that Pagani would reveal the Huayra Roadster at Pebble Beach last August, rest assured the twin-turbo V12 hypercar is still very much happening, and in conversation with Pagani Global PR and Communication chief, Luca Venturi, we’ve confirmed the Huayra Roadster "will be officially unveiled before Geneva."

Other specific details about the new Huayra are being kept hush-hush for now, but we think it’s fair to assume the twin-turbo 6.0-liter AMG-built V12 with 720 hp will remain and won’t be surprised to see some sort of power/performance upgrade. What we can see from these spy shots, courtesy of just_supercars on Instagram, Pagani is going with a removable roof panel instead of an automated unit. Also expect to see the typical carbon fiber-rich hypercar that Pagani has become known for and, considering the removal of the roof, the car’s overall rigidity will probably have to be strengthened if the coupe’s 231 mph top speed is to either be met or, perhaps, even exceeded. Whatever the case turns out to be we’ll learn full details in the very near future. Stay tuned.
