And that's just fine by us.
Only a few days ago did we learn that Gumpert, builders of the insane Apollo (the fastest supercar to lap the Top Gear test track back in 2008), had been saved from bankruptcy by a group of investors out of Hong Kong. Obviously that was great news and today we have even more. According to Motor1.com, Gumpert’s new owners are set to rename the company Apollo Automobil GMbH and will launch a brand new Apollo, currently codenamed Arrow, at Geneva this March.

What’s more, a new website is already in the works for the renamed company, and it’s set to go live on January 11. Motor1 also points out that the new owners, Ideal TeamVenture, are the same investors who purchased De Tomaso last June for $1.8 million. The De Tomaso brand is set to be revived in China in the near future as well. No word yet on whether the newly formed Apollo Automobil will also be reborn in China or not, but at least it’ll have something new for us this March. We can hardly wait.
