Everything has a beginning.
It’s where lives have been lost, life-long injuries acquired, and dreams of victory achieved. The Nurburgring is all of that and so much more. Its construction began in autumn 1925 and was completed in spring of 1927. It was open to the public (for a fee) since the beginning. Racing stopped during World War II but continued after the conflict ended. The track has undergone a number of changes over the years, and all told it has taken more than 200 lives. These photos of the 'Ring’s construction makes it all the more epic.
