Inside the new Mercedes S-Class

With the all-new S-Class set to debut shortly, Mercedes-Benz has detailed the interior space that will make it the full-size luxury sedan of choice.

If you’re in the market for a top-of-the-line luxury sedan, you could go with the BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, Lexus LS, Jaguar XJ or the new Maserati Quattroporte. But the benchmark is the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The current S has been on the market since 2005, but Benz is preparing to launch the all-new model in New York. Yesterday we brought you a batch of spy shots showing the exterior of the car completely undisguised at an apparent photo/video shoot. Now the German automaker has let us inside with a series of interior images.

The cabin in the ninth-gen S-Class was designed around the long-wheelbase model, focusing on the rear seat space which will be offered in five configurations. The cabin features adjustable massaging seats, available heated armrests, door panels, steering wheel and seats, an entertainment system accessible individually like on an airplane from each seat and an available sound system that places the subwoofers in the body shell itself to use it as a resonance chamber. Up front there's a pair of 12.3-inch displays, one for instruments and one for the infotainment system.
