Vilner Finishes Alfa RZ Retrofit

Zagato roadster sent to Bulgaria for a bit of a refresh.
Last week we brought you initial images and details of a vintage Alfa roadster which Vilner was retrofitting. Now the Bulgarian outfit has revealed the finished product, photographed alongside a vintage aircraft. The car in question is an Alfa Romeo RZ, a quirky, boxy roadster version of the SZ which Zagato designed and bodied for the Italian automaker in the early 90s. This particular example was apparently sent by a German owner for a bit of an upgrade.

The update included a respray of the composite body panels in their original red, new black leather upholstery, carpeting and soft top, and an upgrade of the car’s troubled electrical system. In other words, the mod job was anything but radical, but then the Alfa RZ was radical already all on its own.
