Just as capable as the dodge or ford??? The tundra has surpassed the pick up truck bar and set it so high it'll be a few yrs before other manufacturers get there, it just sux that they changed the front..
why the fuk do all the 2014 trucks come with THE MOST chrome. it looks so ugly. its so much work to keep it detailed when the whole truck is covered in it!
Technically the Toyota tundra isn't American for it is not really built bu assembled in America with parts from Japan
It's built in America by Americans. The vin begins in 1. Yet you argue that it's not American. The logic. Some dodge trucks have been made in Mexico for a number of years. The tundra is more American than a didge
Toyota isn't on par with the big 3, and the part where you said "the money goes overseas" makes it not american at all. There is one thing Toyota does well is trick us into sending our money to Japan.
Lol I love when people say the tundra is not American. Sure the money goes overseas, but it's built by Americans in America. It's American enough for me. My girlfriend drives a tundra and its just as capable as any other truck.

The tundra may be from a Japanese company but its just as much a truck and just as capable as Chevy dodge and ford.. Same goes for the Nissan titan .. Neither is a bad truck
Yeah they are built here but all parts are shipped from Japan and built by none union workers on not very good salaries people just don't get it bye American take this ugly rice back to Japan
Dave, these are some of the best trucks you can buy. They're designed and built by Americans....in Texas.

Silverado looks better in person but still not great but the serria looks good
I agree with Colby, new sierra looks beast, Silverado I need to see the head lights in person to decide.. But sierra looks like a big rig and I love it
I think Zaire is saying this wont be so bad looking once the Titan redesign is released, which will be worse.
Maybe Zaire means to defend Japanese trucks, but yeah, this is a design fail. The new Silverado, Sierra, and F series look a lot better. Not sure about the Ram yet. But none of the trucks changed very drastically. The Sierra is the nicest new truck.
I see influence from all 3 of the big american trucks, see some dodge with the general front end shape, some ford in that grill and the side profile with its squared off fenders looks like a silverado

still pretty ugly even with barly any chrome. id like to see it as a lifted show truck. then it MAY look better

Toyota wants you to think they are made in a America, by born in America they were designed and assembled in America for the American population, not built, saying built in America is just something they're saying to get people to buy it
It's because the Tundra was created in America. The only other common truck outside of the US is the Hilux.
I spy the front end of a Honda Ridgeline. This seriously looks horrible. The first gen was the best looking by far.

I'm a Toyota fanboy. And I do agree that like Ford the front ends just look overdone. Too exaggerated. But I always end up seeing one I like no matter the brand.

The design of the rear is my favorite part I think. I'm not so sure about the rest.
How does another company copying off the Silverado make the Chevy a sad truck, makes no sense, and jack looks are all personal preference and I love the looks of the Silverado, looks huge but there not really that big when your driving them
The Chevy looks terrible. The wheel wheels are boxy as hell and the front is ginormous

You guys do realize that post Y2K Nissan trucks were/are pretty much Toyota right? Nissan buys rights to many technologies from Toyo. The latest Frontier shares so many non-cosmetic things with the Tacoma.
U treat a luxury truck like a regular truck, only difference is how nice of your ride home is gonna be, dirt and mud aren't gonna ruin anything

Definitely not the only one, but in a work truck like this, I think most people would prefer an automatic.
Looks pretty nice to me! But where did all the manuals go? Lol. I want a standard transmission. I know I'm not the only one.
Maybe they caught it before the lights went off. My Toyotas were always that way.
The original one was a T100 and then they switched to Tundra in like 2002 or 2003
First year was '99.
I thought it was like '97
I'm pretty sure the tundra was launched before 2007, more like 2002..it was redesigned in 07 though
