Damn straight it will cannibalize mustang sales, this is the only valid reason ford should give for not bringing it stateside yet, cus their afraid it will be better than the stang

I saw a Focus RS in Australia, and the only thing I could think was how it hadn't made its way to the US yet.
The last one was front wheel drive and that had 300bhp so I assume this will, they were quite proud that it was fwd with minimal torque steer
@zaire yea basically. However the motor in the st sounds pretty good so I think they can make this new one sounds good too
Its fwd for a reason it makes it have crazy and unique handeling they also fixed the tourqe steer issue by having an amazing powertrain

Ford has allegedly fixed the torque steer problem. But I'm sure it's still a handful to drive. If they made it AWD I would definitely daily one of these, even over an STI or Evo

I've always thought the RS was not in the US because of emissions and it would bring fords company average mpg down.

The proportions just looks all wrong. It look like it go beat down by an ugly stick then dropped kick some more by an ugly shoe.
There shouldn't be much torque steer with the torque-vectoring front diff, but it would be nice if it was awd like the old one.
A lot of torque steer will be going through that wheel... Useless car really with all that power that it can't even put down since its fwd
Please let this mean we'll be getting it in the US now...
