Description: It's fair to say this little track day fun fest didn't go exactly as planned. In fact, it was a colossal failure. So the situation was this: RC helicopter company Align-Trex wanted to see if...Add Comments2
Description: Whoever was driving the Murcielago drove it into a ditch after they misjudged where the runway ended. And now this extremely rare Murcielago Versace Edition is beyond repair. Only 20 units were built....Add Comments37
Matthew MoellerFeb 03, 2013 Going to guess the owner of "Align" since it has vanity plates that say align and it was amateur hour. Looks like he can afford to buy #19 of 20 ;-)
Mike RenautFeb 03, 2013 Really easy to misjudge the end of a runway - I've done it just doing 80 in a Focus.
Shame the one thing the video doesn't show is the actual crash.
Byakka HirakawaFeb 03, 2013 It just needs a new tail light and itll be right back on the road
Ashton SummersFeb 03, 2013 Runways are so deceptive, especially ones that are built for large aircraft. If you're on one end, you can't see the other. That being said there are markings, every thousand feet to tell you how much runway has been used.
Jommel MarcellaFeb 03, 2013 The car probably flipped when it touched the grass. Look at the roof.
Jake JudgesFeb 03, 2013 I remember Jeremy ckarkson saying how hard it is to judge how much runway you have before you need to brake so I don't really blame the driver but if that was my car I would have been bawling tears
Colby ChurchFeb 03, 2013 Austin, you're correct. If anyone cared to actually read, the driver misjudged the distance to the end of the runway and ran the car into a ditch, and judging by the roof, it probably flipped at some point.
Austin BrideFeb 03, 2013 It's really easy to miss your braking point on a runway and just not be able to stop before going off the end. Probably what happened
Mark Fei LingFeb 03, 2013 @nick&jason
That's how u make uself feel good?
omarSVFeb 03, 2013 Easy to laugh at these guys, bottom line is theyre enjoying their supercar/bikes, which is what theyre made for, better than locking them up in a private collection. Shit happens, its part of racing and driving quicky, so what....I say good luck to them.
Ps. Its not a Versace edition, all the versace's had a unique pattern on the side and a black and white interior...not red.
Jake KnickmeyerFeb 03, 2013 You're welcome, carbuzz!
But it wasn't me.
Nick TadychFeb 03, 2013 Come on Asians learn to drive!
Tyler WallaceFeb 03, 2013 Ok so no crash on camera on a runway the car is fuccing destroyed wat did he hit did he swerve to miss a dinosaur like wtf happen did it flip 100 times really wtf
Jason WatkinsFeb 03, 2013 Asians... No wonder they crashed!!
Jordo ShielsFeb 03, 2013 I wish I had more money than brains lol
Dan RuthFeb 03, 2013 How do you crash on a runway?, they were just drag racing, so he must have just been turning around?
Johnny MatiasFeb 03, 2013 White on Red interior is a very rare color combo. I saw a convertible one white in red in a dealership in Chicago. But for some reason I don't remember it being in very good shape. I've seen 2 Bugattis there too. And an SLR Mclaren
Adam RameyFeb 03, 2013 The frame and drivetrain are both probably damaged beyond repair.
Will WillFeb 03, 2013 But still painful to watch. This effectively ruined my day. The only upside was that it wasn't the sv version.
How do you know?
Not a Versace edition , just a standard lp640
