Rare Lambo Wrecked When Racing RC Helicopters
Surely somebody would have been more careful with an extremely rare Lamborghini Murcielago and not wreck it beyond repair. Apparently not.
It's fair to say this little track day fun fest didn't go exactly as planned. In fact, it was a colossal failure. So the situation was this: RC helicopter company Align-Trex wanted to see if its helicopter was faster than a Lamborghini Murcielago Versace Edition and a pair of super bikes. To test this theory, the mighty Lambo went up against a Trex 800 Trekker and a Gimbal 800 (the helicopters) and two Suzuki GSX-R1000s. Initially it sounds like fun but in the end, somebody screwed up - big time.
Whoever was driving the Murcielago drove it into a ditch after they misjudged where the runway ended. And now this extremely rare Murcielago Versace Edition is beyond repair. Only 20 units were built. On a somewhat brighter note, the bikes and helicopters were unharmed. Thanks for the tip Jake!
