That's because the 335i has very low tuned turbochargers so a simple Ecu mod helps them tremendously in speed... Great car to get if it's all about the speed for you, but for me it's not
My is350 f sport with 306 hp is just fine with me... 0-60 5.3 is a pretty respectable time for a 4 door sedan

They might be underpowered, but i imagine they're smooth, plush cars to ride in.
The s class and the 7 series just recently in the passed few years stepped up their horsepower from 382 to 429 and from 400 to 445 respectively. The LS has fallen a bit short in recent years but was very similar to merc and BMW from 2007 to 2011

It's funny because Lexus has been known for reliable engines. The reason it's reliable is because all their base models are massively under powered. How could anything go wrong with them when they are not even close to pushing what they could do.
Damn. Lexus has really stepped up its game. 3 years ago the only car I liked from them was the is-f, now I like a good majority of their cars.

Oh absolutely. It's an awesome machine that will change the game. Not in all out performance. But it's pioneered many things and as a first attempt at this level of car. Bravo Lexus.
Not many people get subtlety; louder, faster, bigger, cheaper is always perceived as better by a simple mind. Give this amazing creation it's due.
70k Z06 will outdo the LF-A on a track. This thing is more a engineering practice than an all out performance machine. Lexus pioneered carbon fiber manufacturing with this thing. It's innovations will trickle down.
Of course it needs to be faster, but for a first time super car, its pretty damn quick and an extremely well engineered machince ... Hopefully Toyota make a successor or a production super car from what it learned

This is a pretty car. With an engine note that makes... Things... Happen. But meh. For the money, yes, I'd rather have a vette and money left in the bank. Again though, I prefer having three pedals. Just love the connection to the power train that way

@ jack, I'm not saying either of you are right as I have not had the chance to be in an lfa (I have been in a few Ferrari's) but that's his opinion. And who knows, maybe Lexus out did Ferrari at it's own game?

The LFA is one of those cars that pictures do not convey what it really looks like in person. Saw one and sat in it at lexus dealership and i just have to say wow. The craftmanship is way above porsche and ferrari (never been in lambo or aston)
That whole lease thing lasts 2 years and then you have the option to sell it...actually u can sell it whenever you want it's just that all the money plus legal fees goes to Toyota....including profit
Yea its weird, u still buy the car like u would any other, just there are rules, like our not allowed to sell the car out rite except back to Lexus for the current market value.. That way people aren't making crazy profit that Lexus/Toyota aren't even making them selfs

Things there not allowed to do are modifications that void the warranty, and adding forced induction will do such a thing
Not really u don't buy an LFA its more closely related to a lease program, that's why Toyota can sell them while loosing s profit

Slaloms favor narrower cars. An exotic is kinda at a disadvantage. Not to say that they don't do well but an exotic isn't intended for that either. They are wide to handle sustained cornering speed.
Actually the LFA did exceptionally well in slalom tests, even one of the highest maintained speeds threw one also
I wanna hear one of these so bad. That V10 is so sweet. I wish this wasn't so damn expensive. I think for 400k I'd get a Wiesmann MF5 GT. I like the LFA though.

458 or this. 458 alllllll the way. But this is a sexy lookin car. Still. You can have the 458 for less and be in the same performance level car. With looks just as sweet.
