Track-Ready 911 GT3 RSR Previewed

Porsche gives a brief but clear preview of its upcoming GTE class 911 GT3 RSR ahead of its official debut at Silverstone.
Porsche has just released the first official pictures of its upcoming 911 GT3 RSR ahead of its official debut at the World Endurance Championship season-opener at Silverstone on April 14th. Based on the current 991 911, the GT3 RSR prototype just completed another successful round of testing at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida late last week. As the successor to the previous-generation 911 GT3 RSR, the new model will once again race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as the WEC.

Porsche hasn’t released any specific technical details just yet, but we can clearly see such elements like modified front and rear bumpers, side skirts, an aerodynamic body kit and a large rear wing. The German automaker is also being quiet on engine and power output.
Porsche motorsport chief, Helmut Kristen, stated that "We are very pleased with how testing has gone so far. Our goal is to be well prepared for the challenges of the very strong GTE class in the WEC and at Le Mans. Until the season kicks off at Silverstone, we will conduct some final tests on the other race tracks so that our new 911 RSR is well and truly ready."
