Makes zero sense. Following that logic, GM shouldn't sell the SS in France, Norway, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland... Or they could translate "Super Sport" into Hebrew and sell it in Israel under that name
That is just silly! Jewish people are not stupid. If it was really that big of an issue then new Super Sport badges could be used. We never had major issues here back in the 60's at the SS's heyday, why such a big deal now. Weird!

It's mostly the color making this car unattractive. A nice orange would set it off great.

Since the Chev Lumina doesn't appear to be sold in Israel (re their website) it seems unlikely they would now send the essentially identical version with an SS badge. Does the original article seem to have any real basis?
