car shows. I saw it in person at the chicago auto show. looks great in person. They actually had a setup with the steering wheel and the competition seats outside the car. The seats are nice. much better than the base c6 seats that I sat in at my chevy dealer
The rear looks great in person, especially in glossy black. The Z06 will have a different diffuser. This C7 is a track monster. It was created to perform, and perform it does.
I am not sure about this stingray.. That back end needs a rear diffuser otherwise its ugly..

nothing like the sound of that small block. Can't wait to get some at my chevy dealer. My dad and I are gonna try and "persuade" them to let us take one out for a test drive. Somehow, I don't care, it must happen!
The C7 will do some damage to the supercar club. I am very curious the of 'ring time for the stingray, just so we can get an idea of how much quicker the Z06 and ZR1 times will be. This is gonna be an interesting and epic next couple of years.
Damn Chevy, brought a tear to my eye... This car is an absolute monster, and they seriously stepped up the performance, the z06 is gonna be a monster and I don't even wanna think how rediculiously fast the zr1 will be. LOVE the Vette
also they say the 0-60 will be under 4 secs but definitely not quicker than a C6 Z06, they do 3.6 or 3.7.
no, it didn't nick. I'm citing car and drivers interview with GM, they said it gained 100lbs from the C6 and put the weight at 3350-3450 depending on which version u get.
This car actually lost weight over the C6 Ben. Much more use of carbon fiber and its slightly smaller. I think I heard 0-60 faster than the current Z06 and laps a track faster than a Grand Sport
for myself, the C7 Z06 is currently the most highly anticipated car. Not the enzo replacement, not the P1 and not the next ACR Viper. Because I believe it will be truly epic, and actually attainable. :0)
I do like the c7, especially the amount of innovation in comparison to past models, like the rear end change. Even technically it's great like with the cylinder deactivation, it'll be beast and gas efficient when cruising, what else do you want?

Idk I watched alot of them... If I find them again I'll try and post a link... But its still just talk till we get times.. But that added weight is just from strengthening the chassis, so its not useless weight
this is also all from the company who makes thep car. they will say anything to sell cars. wait for a motortrend or road & track review the we'll see
In which video do they say it will be faster than the Z06, my memory's really fuzzy on that point. Faster than a gran sport? I remember them saying that, but not faster than a Z06.
I completely understand how fast the z06 is... I don't think u understand how much better the c7 handles over the c6 gen.. Were not guessing these are words from Chevy's mouth.. May make less and weigh slightly more but it has more track oriented tech and a lot stiffer of a chassis
I don't think you two have any idea about how much of a beast the C6 Z06 is. It's nearly as fast as the ZR1 at Laguna Seca, and closes the gap on tighter tracks. The stingray is gonna need at least 550hp to compete at its current weight.
And in a lot of there video they talk about how its faster then the current gran sport and z06
Not to mention how much stiffer the chassis is then the c6, stiffer chassis will give u much much better handling
Also Ben, the reason this new platform is able to keep up with the outgoing Z06 in Z51 trim is because of the advanced technology in the engine and drivetrain. The car turns better and launches better.
@Ben 450 horsepower is a lot for a base model dude. It's enough to destroy pretty much anything on the road. You know nothing about power if you don't think that's a lot. And the Z06 is expected to be close to 600 horsepower, ZR1 over 700. Yeah.
According to gm, the base stingray out performs the current grand sport and with the z51 package matches the z06
does power matter? rhetorical. And no, the z51 package will not make this car faster than a C6 Z06. It's still 300lbs heavier and down 55hp.
Not sure about the front end of this car! Doesn't seem well proportioned, but the sides are nice, and unlike most people, I actually like the look of the rear end!
Does it matter that it makes less power, its still faster then the grand sport and with the z51 package its faster then the c6 z06... And that's just the base model zr1 is gonna be flipping nuts on the track
funny, the C7 exceeded my expectations in all areas save one. Power. I was hoping for closer to 500. I think this is a sure sign that we cannot expect large power bumps for the z06 and zr1. which will be disappointing as well.
I had very high expectations for the new c7 and the more I look at its kind of boring and over done with design bells and whistles. It's just not sleek looking like the c6 and interior is just a little better sorry my opinion
