RENNtech SL65 Black Goes First Class

A powerfully tuned Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series has received an equally potent body kit.

It’s been almost three years since Mercedes tuning maestro RENNtech revealed its aftermarket program for the SL65 AMG Black Series that boosted power to 865 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. The additional 135 ponies and 263 lb-ft were generated via a remapped ECU, and upgraded intercooler, mufflers and transmission. To match the work that’s gone on under the hood, body specialist First Class Autosports out of South Miami got to work on transforming the aesthetics.

Effectively the job entailed adding some choice black elements to the grey exterior. All MB and RENNtech emblems have been blacked out, taillights and side markers have received a black tint, while a satin black wrap was used for the roof, hood, back spoiler, and front grill. The side mirrors and lower front spoiler were also partially wrapped, while satin black custom side stripes completed the new look.
