Citroen Updates C3 for Geneva

The C3 five-door supermini receives a mid-life facelift in time for the Geneva Motor Show.

This year’s Geneva Motor Show will showcase some incredible new cars. The newly restyled C3 won’t be one of them, but the popular French hatchback has received some notable upgrades inside and out, as well as under the hood. Cosmetic upgrades to the exterior include a new fascia with double chevron grille, bumper-mounted LED DLRs, and new taillight clusters combined with new reflectors that sit underneath the rear bumper. Citroen also added Ink blue to the palate of nine body colors for the C3.

Inside, updated upholstery with soft touch materials and chrome detailing is complemented by new dashboard strips available in matte black, brown and Moondust grey. New powerplants for the C3 borrowed from the new Peugeot 208 include 1.0- and 1.2-liter PureTech 3-cylinder gasoline units with respective outputs of 67 and 81 horsepower. There’s also an 118hp VTi gasoline engine that can be paired to a manual or automatic transmission, as well as four diesel units. After its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the latest Citroen C3 will be launched this summer in the UK.
