Marcus EspinetaFeb 22, 2013 I loved my m3!!!! BMW remains the ultimate driving machine
Ashton SummersFeb 22, 2013 Yay, now we have a choice not to have that stupid electronic gear lever that doesn't always do what you ask.
Bruce TumblinFeb 22, 2013 One of the reasons that I like BMW over the other luxury car companies was that you had a choice between manual or auto transmission as well as being RWD; when I'm ready I'm shooting for a 5 series 6-speed manual 550i
Preston HarrisFeb 22, 2013 This is why I own a BMW. I love you guys.
Matt PiccoloFeb 22, 2013 ( but I would probably take rwd over awd if I was given the two options. )
Matt PiccoloFeb 22, 2013 I like awd personally. I'm just happy about the manual trans
Brock ZagerFeb 22, 2013 Hell yea BMW and AWD is that bad
Andrey LobkoFeb 22, 2013 All wheel drive is not bad at all, but the front wheel drive is just unacceptable. New a45 Mercedes is off the list automatically due to the drive setup.
Tyler TarboxFeb 23, 2013 @Matt. It's a combination of the fact I don't really like BMW and the fact that I love AMG so much. Am seriously considering buying one within the next few months
Abraham MendozaFeb 22, 2013 An M3 Wagon would be pretty delicious..
Jacob BurfordFeb 22, 2013 It might not look great compared to competition, but the performance and abilities as a daily driver make it my favorite in class!
Sam McCrackenFeb 22, 2013 BMW should make a M3 wagon since they already made a M5 wagon in 2007
Matt PiccoloFeb 22, 2013 Ahah u really don't seem to like BMW Tyler. Anyways, I'd have to go M>AMG. I like Mercs but for some reason, I can't see my self buying one. I'd always take a BMW, Audi, Lexus or Acura over them. Idk why bec I like their cars, I just wouldn't buy 1
Tyler TarboxFeb 22, 2013 AMG>M Series. Not even close
Zach CoslerFeb 22, 2013 Its not meant to compete with the Black edition. If BMW were to create an enhanced performance M3, then that's a different story.
Ryan FaberFeb 22, 2013 I doubt this is faster than the c63 black
Ameer BalkoreFeb 22, 2013 What ever you say, they are faster than Mercedes
Tyler WallaceFeb 22, 2013 BMW actually cares about there drivers
Abraham MendozaFeb 22, 2013 I love these M3s, ESPECIALLY the coupes
Wyatt GordonFeb 22, 2013 I've never really liked BMW, but them sticking with good old mannies and RWD just made me like them so much more!
Description: A new report coming from Autocar is claiming that BMW M boss Friedrich Nitschke has reiterated his company’s commitment to RWD stating that "Our philosophy in regards to steering feel and precision is...Add Comments9
Keir Andre NelsonFeb 23, 2013 AWD isn't exactly BMW's strong suit. The systems in the SUVs aren't that good. Good job BMW for realizing where your fans come from.
Yasser ZahabiFeb 22, 2013 I don't mind an auto as long as its RWD.. I infact thing autos add a poshness to the interior and whilst manuals are good for 5% of the time whilst driving .. Autos also thrill .. But I read somewhere that the 1 series will be FWD from next gen on !
Ameer BalkoreFeb 22, 2013 What can I say.I love you BMW
Zaire WilkinsFeb 22, 2013 wyatt so thats what you thing
Wyatt GordonFeb 22, 2013 I agree, RWD is, by far, the best, for everything from precise steering feel for going faster round corners, to just hanging the tail way out and having fun. Thank you BMW. Thank you so much.
Ian RagsdaleFeb 22, 2013 The m5 is available with a manual in the US only, because BMW tried to introduce the 10cyl M5 with no manual option a few years ago and long-time customers in the US refused to order them.
Peter Mark GacekFeb 22, 2013 Yea but manual transmissions are found more frequently in other parts of the world in much, much less expensive cars than an M5. The high end market is mostly automatic.
Brett VincentFeb 22, 2013 Is the article stating that the only way to get a manual M5 is in the US market? If so, that sounds backwards of how auto-manual transmissions in US vs. world markets usually works.
Description: In Europe, however, there's much less demand for a manual in those models. The statement seems to ignore models like the X5 M and X6 M, which both pack all-wheel drive and automatic transmissions. Nit...Add Comments1
Miko ReginellaFeb 22, 2013 Yeah SUV M models need not apply
Cian Mac GearailtFeb 23, 2013 This still doesn't come with a manual the first m5 ever not to disappointing
Rob ClarkFeb 23, 2013 The new M5 looks good, but yet there's just something about it that doesn't get my blood rushing like with the older models. They definitely should've kept the V-10.
Jacob BurfordFeb 22, 2013 This latest M5 looks good and it's an overall good car, it's just missing the driving feel and interaction of the last gen!
Yasser ZahabiFeb 22, 2013 I've been In the old M5 and it was a bit ... Hairy for most of the time .. This reminds me of my 1996 BMW 523 in a way .. Just wish the dash was a bit canted towards the driver more
Zaire WilkinsFeb 22, 2013 Nahhh this M5 cant come close to the 2009 V10 E60 M5 or 2003 V8 E39 M5 but it sure does look better
John PattenFeb 22, 2013 Zaire, it is the best looking, but I thing this is better than the old m5
Zaire WilkinsFeb 22, 2013 The best looking M5 but its the worst M5 ever made.
Tyler TarboxFeb 23, 2013 Yeah that sounds like a pretty logical explanation. I can't really think of any other reason
Abraham MendozaFeb 22, 2013 Perhaps its for insurance reasons? Remember, Merican Manufacturers used to underrate the Hp in some cars so the cost of owning one wasn't through the roof.
Matt PiccoloFeb 22, 2013 @ Tyler, yea I don't understand it either. I know motor trend often says they surpass audis stated performance figures. I guess it's just one of those automotive mysteries
Tyler TarboxFeb 22, 2013 @Justin. Hahahaha made my night
Tyler TarboxFeb 22, 2013 @Matt. Yeah I think you are right on that one. I've heard Audi underestimating their performance numbers. I don't really see why they would do that though. Doesn't make sense to me
Abraham MendozaFeb 22, 2013 I wouldn't want this car for its performance, I'd want it just to look at it.
Johnny MatiasFeb 22, 2013 I think the Audi looks better, not by much, but still look better than the M5 and CLS. It may be slower but it has everything else you could ever want in a car. Audi fanboy here.
Justin RouthFeb 22, 2013 @Jack you learned that when you drove it, right?
Wyatt GordonFeb 22, 2013 I can attest to Matt here: my mom has a 2004 Allroad with the twin-turbo V6. They claimed 0-60 in 5.1 I think it was, whereas I got it from 0-60 in 4.7. On loose ground.
Matt PiccoloFeb 22, 2013 @ tyler, just saying, Audi is known for understating their performance figures.
Tyler TarboxFeb 22, 2013 Audis look great but are slower than their rivals. At least on all their claimed performance numbers
Gray ConronFeb 22, 2013 Why does it have to say Quattro on the grille we already know......
Dillon DixonFeb 22, 2013 They are slick cars but I am still not a fan. The front is great and very aggressive. But the sides are so bland.
Nick StiFeb 22, 2013 Audis look great but they're tanks. I prefer sportiness over luxury, so BMW ftw. Plus Audis current cars lack soul, where BMW still caries on the tradition of the 3 and 5 series
Ryan FaberFeb 22, 2013 how is this not awesome??????
Lou GuerreroFeb 22, 2013 I'm so indifferent about Audi. Never nothing really awesome to say about them yet nothing really bad either.
Dillon DixonFeb 22, 2013 This is my favorite of the article. I love the lines in the rear quarter panel. Still, I would honestly take a CTS-V over them all.
Good choice BMW!
Bazingaaa this is good news :)
Compared to a car that breaks down all the time and costs little to repair.
@Jack. Chill bro. At least I know what driving a car feels like.
Watch your mouth, I'm very surprised CB hasn't banned you yet.
Lol Tyler
So you can buy a manual BMW but you won't ever be able to drive it since it will be in the shop all the time.
Really not a fan of BMW but it's nice to hear that they're sticking with the RWD and and manual.
I wont love BMW but i like their designs not including the 3 series or 4 series. And (S65-V8 engines)
Which is why the only cars I've own are BMW
I cannot stop being a BMW freak
In this world we live in, one automaker knows what they're doing..good Job BMW
Yup gotta say i cant stand bmw but props to them for keeping it the way it should be
The BMW car that should come with AWD is the Gran Coupe
And they ask me why do u love BMW??
I love my stick Quattro thank you very much... Bravo for keeping the manual option... ... For now at least
Who doesnt love bmw ?
Good job BMW! Thank you, soo muchhh! I love you guys!
Thank you bmw

Hate BMW, but hate them a lot less now.
Love that there keeping them stick and rwd, I guess my next car might be a BMW.
I don't like BMW much... But I gotta give them some respect for this.
Why not be much better but loads more fun
Yaaaaaay!
BMW is now that much better
This is why I own a BMW. I love you guys.
( but I would probably take rwd over awd if I was given the two options. )
I like awd personally. I'm just happy about the manual trans
