Good choice BMW!
Camilo Saldarriaga Feb 23, 2013
Bazingaaa this is good news :)
Joshua Arnott Feb 23, 2013
Compared to a car that breaks down all the time and costs little to repair.
Tyler Tarbox Feb 23, 2013
@Jack. Chill bro. At least I know what driving a car feels like.
Aaron Crisp Feb 23, 2013
Watch your mouth, I'm very surprised CB hasn't banned you yet.
Tim Preisinger Feb 22, 2013
Lol Tyler
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
So you can buy a manual BMW but you won't ever be able to drive it since it will be in the shop all the time.
Brandon Chamberlain Feb 22, 2013
Really not a fan of BMW but it's nice to hear that they're sticking with the RWD and and manual.
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
I wont love BMW but i like their designs not including the 3 series or 4 series. And (S65-V8 engines)
Nick Rios Feb 22, 2013
Which is why the only cars I've own are BMW
Ameer Balkore Feb 22, 2013
I cannot stop being a BMW freak
Ethan Amo Feb 22, 2013
In this world we live in, one automaker knows what they're doing..good Job BMW
Taylor Garry Feb 22, 2013
Yup gotta say i cant stand bmw but props to them for keeping it the way it should be
Taylor Greenfield Feb 22, 2013
The BMW car that should come with AWD is the Gran Coupe
Ahmed Al Harthy Feb 22, 2013
And they ask me why do u love BMW??
Adam Beiersdorfer Feb 22, 2013
I love my stick Quattro thank you very much... Bravo for keeping the manual option... ... For now at least
Elias Harb Feb 22, 2013
Who doesnt love bmw ?
Wyatt Gordon Feb 22, 2013
Good job BMW! Thank you, soo muchhh! I love you guys!
Justin Routh Feb 22, 2013
Thank you bmw
Marcus Espineta Feb 22, 2013
I loved my m3!!!! BMW remains the ultimate driving machine
Ashton Summers Feb 22, 2013
Yay, now we have a choice not to have that stupid electronic gear lever that doesn't always do what you ask.
Bruce Tumblin Feb 22, 2013
One of the reasons that I like BMW over the other luxury car companies was that you had a choice between manual or auto transmission as well as being RWD; when I'm ready I'm shooting for a 5 series 6-speed manual 550i
Patrick Schalk Feb 22, 2013
Good job BMW
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
Hate BMW, but hate them a lot less now.
Andy Muller Feb 22, 2013
Love that there keeping them stick and rwd, I guess my next car might be a BMW.
Tim Preisinger Feb 22, 2013
I don't like BMW much... But I gotta give them some respect for this.
Mikey Jenkins Feb 22, 2013
Why not be much better but loads more fun
Janak Solanki Feb 22, 2013
Yaaaaaay!
Sean Gillespie Feb 22, 2013
BMW is now that much better
Preston Harris Feb 22, 2013
This is why I own a BMW. I love you guys.
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
( but I would probably take rwd over awd if I was given the two options. )
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
I like awd personally. I'm just happy about the manual trans
Brock Zager Feb 22, 2013
Hell yea BMW and AWD is that bad
Andrey Lobko Feb 22, 2013
All wheel drive is not bad at all, but the front wheel drive is just unacceptable. New a45 Mercedes is off the list automatically due to the drive setup.
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
Thank you BMW.
Tyler Tarbox Feb 23, 2013
@Matt. It's a combination of the fact I don't really like BMW and the fact that I love AMG so much. Am seriously considering buying one within the next few months
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
An M3 Wagon would be pretty delicious..
Tim Preisinger Feb 22, 2013
AMG > M for me
Jacob Burford Feb 22, 2013
It might not look great compared to competition, but the performance and abilities as a daily driver make it my favorite in class!
Sam McCracken Feb 22, 2013
BMW should make a M3 wagon since they already made a M5 wagon in 2007
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
Ahah u really don't seem to like BMW Tyler. Anyways, I'd have to go M>AMG. I like Mercs but for some reason, I can't see my self buying one. I'd always take a BMW, Audi, Lexus or Acura over them. Idk why bec I like their cars, I just wouldn't buy 1
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
AMG>M Series. Not even close
Zach Cosler Feb 22, 2013
Its not meant to compete with the Black edition. If BMW were to create an enhanced performance M3, then that's a different story.
Ryan Faber Feb 22, 2013
I doubt this is faster than the c63 black
Ameer Balkore Feb 22, 2013
What ever you say, they are faster than Mercedes
Tyler Wallace Feb 22, 2013
BMW actually cares about there drivers
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
I love these M3s, ESPECIALLY the coupes
Wyatt Gordon Feb 22, 2013
I've never really liked BMW, but them sticking with good old mannies and RWD just made me like them so much more!
Kobe Brunson Feb 22, 2013
@tyler it is
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
Good one*
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
Might not b THE ultimate driving machine, but it's a damn good
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
Or not
Description: A new report coming from Autocar is claiming that BMW M boss Friedrich Nitschke has reiterated his company’s commitment to RWD stating that "Our philosophy in regards to steering feel and precision is...

AWD isn't exactly BMW's strong suit. The systems in the SUVs aren't that good. Good job BMW for realizing where your fans come from.
Yasser Zahabi Feb 22, 2013
I don't mind an auto as long as its RWD.. I infact thing autos add a poshness to the interior and whilst manuals are good for 5% of the time whilst driving .. Autos also thrill .. But I read somewhere that the 1 series will be FWD from next gen on !
Ameer Balkore Feb 22, 2013
What can I say.I love you BMW
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
Think*
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
wyatt so thats what you thing
Wyatt Gordon Feb 22, 2013
I agree, RWD is, by far, the best, for everything from precise steering feel for going faster round corners, to just hanging the tail way out and having fun. Thank you BMW. Thank you so much.
Ian Ragsdale Feb 22, 2013
The m5 is available with a manual in the US only, because BMW tried to introduce the 10cyl M5 with no manual option a few years ago and long-time customers in the US refused to order them.
Peter Mark Gacek Feb 22, 2013
Yea but manual transmissions are found more frequently in other parts of the world in much, much less expensive cars than an M5. The high end market is mostly automatic.
Brett Vincent Feb 22, 2013
Is the article stating that the only way to get a manual M5 is in the US market? If so, that sounds backwards of how auto-manual transmissions in US vs. world markets usually works.
Description: In Europe, however, there's much less demand for a manual in those models. The statement seems to ignore models like the X5 M and X6 M, which both pack all-wheel drive and automatic transmissions. Nit...

Miko Reginella Feb 22, 2013
Yeah SUV M models need not apply
Jon Ashley Feb 23, 2013
kudos bimmer. Its almost becoming a privilege to have a stick in some cars now.
Jacob Burford Feb 22, 2013
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tyler Wallace Feb 22, 2013
Not my magic sticc
Danny Rodriguez Feb 22, 2013
The magic stick, that when you touch it, along with the three pedals. Makes you forget everything in your life.
David Justice Feb 22, 2013
The M color scheme stitching is pretty cool.
Stephen Cobbs Feb 22, 2013
I dont give a damn about plastic. As long as they keep manual stick shift.
Jackson Michael Feb 22, 2013
It's actually plasticky
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
I can tell you right now that it's not
Ryan Faber Feb 22, 2013
looks plasticy.. I think I just made up a new word.
Anthony Iron Maiden Lucero Feb 22, 2013
Thank you!
Donald Chip Schofield Feb 23, 2013
They should try to make some track day cars, with manual and or sequential manual
Aaron Crisp Feb 23, 2013
@Rohil Exactly! I'm never gonna score with one of these because of that damn electronic parking break.
Jacob Burford Feb 22, 2013
Boo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ethan Amo Feb 22, 2013
The improper gearbox
Miko Reginella Feb 22, 2013
This is an M6 but a DCT nonetheless
Wyatt Gordon Feb 22, 2013
Darian, Im pretty sure thats real CF
Darian Vorlick Feb 22, 2013
Mmmmm love the look of faux carbon fiber. /sarcasm
Gray Conron Feb 22, 2013
@Vito what year??
Vito Portanova Feb 22, 2013
Love the DCT in my m3. Glad I took it over the stick. And yes the DCT is much faster!! It's amazing.
Rohil Chauhan Feb 22, 2013
How am I suppose to handbrake turn the knickers off a girl now? :/
Ryan Lopez Feb 22, 2013
Darn no more h turns
Preston Harris Feb 22, 2013
Electric parking brake? Some crappy automatic gearbox? Hell no! But I'm digging the carbon fiber
Noah Gavurin Feb 22, 2013
thats so lame
Allen Kim Feb 23, 2013
nasty
Cian Mac Gearailt Feb 23, 2013
This still doesn't come with a manual the first m5 ever not to disappointing
Rob Clark Feb 23, 2013
The new M5 looks good, but yet there's just something about it that doesn't get my blood rushing like with the older models. They definitely should've kept the V-10.
Jacob Burford Feb 22, 2013
This latest M5 looks good and it's an overall good car, it's just missing the driving feel and interaction of the last gen!
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
The V10 sounded stupid good.
Yasser Zahabi Feb 22, 2013
I've been In the old M5 and it was a bit ... Hairy for most of the time .. This reminds me of my 1996 BMW 523 in a way .. Just wish the dash was a bit canted towards the driver more
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
Nahhh this M5 cant come close to the 2009 V10 E60 M5 or 2003 V8 E39 M5 but it sure does look better
John Patten Feb 22, 2013
Zaire, it is the best looking, but I thing this is better than the old m5
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
The best looking M5 but its the worst M5 ever made.
Brandon Davidson Feb 24, 2013
...does that say rs7 on the grill?
Jon Ashley Feb 23, 2013
they got bimmer beat in the design department.
Ryan Spencer Feb 23, 2013
Beautiful...
Tyler Tarbox Feb 23, 2013
Yeah that sounds like a pretty logical explanation. I can't really think of any other reason
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
Perhaps its for insurance reasons? Remember, Merican Manufacturers used to underrate the Hp in some cars so the cost of owning one wasn't through the roof.
Jacob Burford Feb 22, 2013
Now this is a nice car!
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
@ Tyler, yea I don't understand it either. I know motor trend often says they surpass audis stated performance figures. I guess it's just one of those automotive mysteries
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
@Justin. Hahahaha made my night
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
@Matt. Yeah I think you are right on that one. I've heard Audi underestimating their performance numbers. I don't really see why they would do that though. Doesn't make sense to me
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
I wouldn't want this car for its performance, I'd want it just to look at it.
Johnny Matias Feb 22, 2013
I think the Audi looks better, not by much, but still look better than the M5 and CLS. It may be slower but it has everything else you could ever want in a car. Audi fanboy here.
Marcus Espineta Feb 22, 2013
M5 eats this tank
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
Oh how pretty this car is. It's a very hard choice.
Isaac Suarez Feb 22, 2013
Bravo!!! Just for that I might reward your company with a purchase soon.
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
Better than the M5
David Justice Feb 22, 2013
RS7 FTW!!
Justin Routh Feb 22, 2013
@Jack you learned that when you drove it, right?
Wyatt Gordon Feb 22, 2013
I can attest to Matt here: my mom has a 2004 Allroad with the twin-turbo V6. They claimed 0-60 in 5.1 I think it was, whereas I got it from 0-60 in 4.7. On loose ground.
Justin Routh Feb 22, 2013
So are all the germans
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
@ tyler, just saying, Audi is known for understating their performance figures.
Tyler Tarbox Feb 22, 2013
Audis look great but are slower than their rivals. At least on all their claimed performance numbers
Gray Conron Feb 22, 2013
Why does it have to say Quattro on the grille we already know......
Dillon Dixon Feb 22, 2013
They are slick cars but I am still not a fan. The front is great and very aggressive. But the sides are so bland.
Nick Sti Feb 22, 2013
Audis look great but they're tanks. I prefer sportiness over luxury, so BMW ftw. Plus Audis current cars lack soul, where BMW still caries on the tradition of the 3 and 5 series
Ryan Faber Feb 22, 2013
how is this not awesome??????
Lou Guerrero Feb 22, 2013
I'm so indifferent about Audi. Never nothing really awesome to say about them yet nothing really bad either.
Janak Solanki Feb 22, 2013
Wow that is pretty BA
Lucas Raggio Feb 22, 2013
Fantastic
Connor Wagner Feb 22, 2013
Gorgeous car
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
Beautiful car
Allen Kim Feb 23, 2013
My personal choice, but all three are frickin incredible cars. Yasser... you wouldn't take a C63 black series or a SLS?
Jacob Burford Feb 22, 2013
Very sexy plus AMG power and tire burning!
Yasser Zahabi Feb 22, 2013
The only Merc I would consider owning .. If I had the money :(
Johnny Matias Feb 22, 2013
@Abraham that's what Mercedes is all about.
Chris Bullock Feb 22, 2013
I love this car!
Abraham Mendoza Feb 22, 2013
There's something about Mercedes that screams anger, I need this car for no reason.
Zaire Wilkins Feb 22, 2013
This is also better than the M5
Brian Howard Feb 22, 2013
Cts-v ftw
Matt Piccolo Feb 22, 2013
I'd take the m3 or a7.
Dillon Dixon Feb 22, 2013
This is my favorite of the article. I love the lines in the rear quarter panel. Still, I would honestly take a CTS-V over them all.
