The C6 was able to get well over 20mp/highway in all of it's iterations base to ZR1. It also has to pass ridiculous California emmissions restrictions which are the world's most stringtent. Such is the case for any automaker that wishes to sell cars in this state... American manufacturers included.

I really dont like how a vette that rolls put of the factory with 700ish hp at the crank passes emissions testing and os perfectly legal yet i cant own many fun euro/jap cars due to "emissions restrictions" and have to worry about how i modify cars

Malachi, 1. No z06 has 350hp. A base C5 Vette does. 2. So you have more HP then the Vette... That doesn't really mean anything. It's all about power to weight. So not sure where you were going with that?

Nope never been in the 350hp Z06, have been in a Viper, Gallardo, F355, F430, Maserati Spyder. And my Escalade has more HP than a 350hp Z06z

Just FYI, if you go to YouTube, you can watch a 436hp base Corvette beat a 570 horsepower CTS-V wagon. No joke. Fair, even race too. It all comes down to aero, weight, center of gravity, and driver skill upon launch. Vettes use hp very well.

I can tell your never been in one before, because if you even knew how fast a 350hp Vette was, you would think 450 is bonkers. 450 horsepower in a Corvette, especially the C7 will eat most cars with over 500 horsepower.

Malachi, please just be quiet. They aren't common at all. I see a base Corvette maybe once a week. I see a Z06 maybe once every few months. Z06 Corvettes go 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and destroy Gallardos. And they can be bought for under $50k now.

Yellow doesn't do the ZR1 justice. Looks so much better in the blue and in that dark shadow gray.

There is nothing outdated about a supercharger. They are being improved upon just the same as turbos. There are benefits to both styles of forced induction. Supers give instant power being one of them.

They have accumulated a lot of exhaust dust is all. They just need a good cleaning. Someone has been driving this one hard. Haha. My buddy's Z06 gets like that after awhile. Lots of exhaust fumes.

Actually both wrong. This has manufacturers plates. That exhaust has been through testing or something. Usually when I see manufacturers plates on a car riding around in MI they are pretty screwed up looking. I recently seen a GT500 manufacturers

The complaints that the car deviates in style too much from the previous generations holds no water when Chevy's research showed they needed to make the changes they did to sell to a younger demographic. I'm not young but this new design direction is very appealing.

High revs don't mean performance. The small mclaren motor you're so enamored with has to rev that high and use boost to make power. If it didn't have that it wouldn't create more than a v6 power range.

@Colby I agree. The Pratt & Miller C6.R is the finest iteration orf the tuned C6 Z06. The C7 design is beautiful, coherent and cohesive. It also gives Chevy and all the heavy hitter American tuners like P&M, Hennessey, Callaway, Lingenfelter, Mallet, etc a excellent base car to further give European builders the chills.

The tail lights fit the new car perfectly, and the vents beside them are functional, derived from the C6.R. Once people see the rear in person, many will change their minds. Believe me.
