Yellow looks best on exotics like Lambos, Ferraris, and Porsches. Still looks great on Vettes just not as good
Some people I don't understand. As a long time Vette lover, yellow is one of my favorite colors on them. It's bright, noticeable, exotic, and contrasts well with black and chrome. Love me some yeller.

Yellow doesn't do the ZR1 justice. Looks so much better in the blue and in that dark shadow gray.

There is nothing outdated about a supercharger. They are being improved upon just the same as turbos. There are benefits to both styles of forced induction. Supers give instant power being one of them.
@tyler assuming you could find someone who has enough to buy your old ZR1, but not enough to buy a brand new one.
Far as looks go. Performance wise the C7 will be monster. So taking that into consideration it is above the C4 there lol
Is just plain horrible. To me it's just plain like they just cut the car off there and I'm not a fan of the new exhausts and taillights. It's just my opinion which is sad because I'm a Corvette fan. The C7 is just in the same boat as the C4 to me as
@Colby I just don't like the fact that it shares so many body lines with other cars. Sure it's an aerodynamic shape I understand that but the front is too Ferrari-esq, the side profile of the windows follow the GTR's almost to a T and the rear to me
@Corey. Why? The next ZR1 won't be out for a few years and if you can afford to buy a $120K car then you could easily sell it when the time comes and turn around and buy the new one

Jimmy, you and everyone else who don't like the C7 need to see an eye doctor as soon as possible. Something's definitely wrong. The C7 is sexy as hell. Especially in person. Seeing one in person is a completely different experience.
Man, the Z06 is already kinda hairy to drive at 505. I'm excited to see the chassis tuning they use to reign 600 in.
I would actually prefer a C6 ZR1. I don't really like the look of the C7. It's a shame :(
Jesse, the problem with doing that is the the forced induction needs lower compression ratio so the engine will run properly.
Solution? Make the Z06 as bad ass as possible, then use its engine in the ZR-1 super'd. Done.

They have accumulated a lot of exhaust dust is all. They just need a good cleaning. Someone has been driving this one hard. Haha. My buddy's Z06 gets like that after awhile. Lots of exhaust fumes.
Actually both wrong. This has manufacturers plates. That exhaust has been through testing or something. Usually when I see manufacturers plates on a car riding around in MI they are pretty screwed up looking. I recently seen a GT500 manufacturers
It's only the sun that makes the exhaust look like that. Look at the way the sun shines on the road beneath the car.
I really like this picture, but one the one thing that bugs me are the tailpipes. Why are they that color?
The Z06 carbon looks amazing. This color and the Atomic Orange look great on Vettes. You can really see the curves.
This thing is so sick. It gives off a really cool vibe that not even a base Z06 does.
This car is amazing and far better then the C6. I don't understand any hate towards a giant leap forward for GM. The interior is far better and finally matches the technology of the car.
There is nothing not to love about this car. The complaints that the car deviates in style too much from the previous generations holds no water when Chevy's research showed they needed to make the changes they did to sell to a younger demographic. I'm not young but this new design direction is very appealing.
I love the new tail lamps. They look mean. People just need to come around and embrace them. And the chrome strip will be blacked out on the Z06 and ZR1.
paint that chrome strip black and itd be better looking but otherwise, they nailed the exterior. well, save for the tail pipes
It's a proper evolution of the vette I think. I'm still getting used to the back end but I'm sure it'll grow on me. maybe not the 4 pipes all in a row, would have looked better with just 2 big central pipes, or 2 at each bottom corner.
This is cool besides the hideous taillights but I going to miss the old design.
I just don't understand the camaro-esq back end! Why have they ditched the 4 circle tail lamps? That's been a corvette characteristic for years now.
@David. Agreed. The C6 looks so much better. It's going to take some time for this one to take affect on me. I still like it tho.

This engine on the other hand makes its power quickly and has whats called a flat power band. It's just two different ways to make power and neither is wrong or right.
High revs don't mean performance. The small mclaren motor you're so enamored with has to rev that high and use boost to make power. If it didn't have that it wouldn't create more than a v6 power range.
I like the new taillights. You can't do circles forever. As one guy said they would look out of place on such a sharp car.
@Colby I agree. The Pratt & Miller C6.R is the finest iteration orf the tuned C6 Z06. The C7 design is beautiful, coherent and cohesive. It also gives Chevy and all the heavy hitter American tuners like P&M, Hennessey, Callaway, Lingenfelter, Mallet, etc a excellent base car to further give European builders the chills.
how are they going to make this look anymore outrageous than it is for the zo6 and zr1? the zr1 will have to look SILLY
The tail lights fit the new car perfectly, and the vents beside them are functional, derived from the C6.R. Once people see the rear in person, many will change their minds. Believe me.
Absolutely right Ben.. The car is all angles and round tail lights would be out of place. We all cut pizza into slices not more circles people!
The C6 was able to get well over 20mp/highway in all of it's iterations base to ZR1. It also has to pass ridiculous California emmissions restrictions which are the world's most stringtent. Such is the case for any automaker that wishes to sell cars in this state... American manufacturers included.
However im excited to see the final version of the z06 and zr1 they are truly impressive
I really dont like how a vette that rolls put of the factory with 700ish hp at the crank passes emissions testing and os perfectly legal yet i cant own many fun euro/jap cars due to "emissions restrictions" and have to worry about how i modify cars
A Vette puts the power down better than most of the cars with the same amount of hp. Not counting that it's cheaper than most super cars and good as a everyday driver.

Malachi, 1. No z06 has 350hp. A base C5 Vette does. 2. So you have more HP then the Vette... That doesn't really mean anything. It's all about power to weight. So not sure where you were going with that?

Nope never been in the 350hp Z06, have been in a Viper, Gallardo, F355, F430, Maserati Spyder. And my Escalade has more HP than a 350hp Z06z

Just FYI, if you go to YouTube, you can watch a 436hp base Corvette beat a 570 horsepower CTS-V wagon. No joke. Fair, even race too. It all comes down to aero, weight, center of gravity, and driver skill upon launch. Vettes use hp very well.
I can tell your never been in one before, because if you even knew how fast a 350hp Vette was, you would think 450 is bonkers. 450 horsepower in a Corvette, especially the C7 will eat most cars with over 500 horsepower.
Malachi, please just be quiet. They aren't common at all. I see a base Corvette maybe once a week. I see a Z06 maybe once every few months. Z06 Corvettes go 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and destroy Gallardos. And they can be bought for under $50k now.
