That's my Opinion n it would stop me from buying it plain n simple. It doesn't need the extra power but If there's a huge engine then I want big power whatever car it is. MY opinion.
The power of a Rolls Royce shouldn't be measured and displayed as a number, it should simply be called "adequate".
700 is fine for the engine. It just needs to pull like a silky smooth freight train and make majestic noises in the process.
Auto basics state more cylinders provides smoother idling generally. Granted track cars and sports cars are the exception, they're tuned for different purposes.
Obviously these people forgot that this is RR, they could make a V20 and no damns where given about horsepower
Too much power and you'd warp the crankshaft over time. Sure its only 700hp, but it would be power and torque that comes in low, like 3000 rpm. Example, a 9.0 L flat six in a single engine airplane makes only 260-310hp, but at just over 2000 rpm.

@ rodrigo a rolls royce is a luxury car manufacturer to me, and a bugatti is a supercar manufacturer to me. Its just that rolls royce cars happen to be made fast, and bugattis just happen to be luxurious.
