I really want to like the way this car looks but i cant it just sooo ugly. The F1 is still better looking even with 20 years of age on it. But that aside even the 12C looks way better.
Id prefer the f1 over this it just suits my style more nice job with this though mclaren

I really like this car but there's something off about the rear fender arch. Just looks incomplete or something
*people can hate on this car at all. It's very nice. The styling is amazingly executed and it also sounds and performs great. McLaren hit a home run with the P1.

At first I thought this car was horrible and un-proportioned, but now it has grown on me and I see it is absolutely gorgeous both performance wise and style wise

I like everything except for the huge panel gap behind the front wheel, but it must be like that for a reason.
My ass it doesn't count as anything. There's 7 of them and that's good enough for me. If it can absolutely dominate the 0-300kph record that was held by the Agera R then that definitely counts as something.
Thank you Patrick and William for actually knowing things. We certainly have the capability in this country to engineer fantastic things. I mean just look at some of the insane fighter jets we have built. Certainly better engineered than any car ever

While I do respect it and would be in my top 5 list of lottery cars, the same amount of work was not put into it compared to this or others like Pagani, Koenigsegg, and Bugatti.
God. People. The Venom does not count as anything. It's a tuning house product, not a full production car. It doesn't compare in the same ways of designing and engineering. It's throwing in a big engine. Woohoo!

This car reminds me of my first wife... think Halle Berry/Sophia Loren but with an even better body. Every line of this car is perfection. The curves! Just like an achingly beautiful woman.
I see a clogged air filter and unhappy turbos. Though I'm sure McLaren knows what there doing when it comes to heat soak.

Jack u must have me confused with someone else, I never in my life have said or would think awd is better on the track, the gtr being the obvious exception to that rule, rwd is a better track setup, I said awd was better for acceleration but not on the track
Maybe we can stop this before it starts. I think both cars are sexy in their own right. I'll argue which is better when I can actually afford to buy one.

There is no 4wd option, McLaren never has and probably never will use 4wd period, to obsessed with track perfection

Good thing that back is gorgeous! It's the only angle people on the track and road will ever see it from!
One side of the led stripe probably jut blinks for the turn signals, and maybe the reverse lights are behind the honey comb so they don't kill that sexy back side
@Riley exactly! Isn't that perfect how the taillights are masked by the rear grilling/simulated carbon fiber mesh? That design feature is going to be much copied in the future.
@ryan it's for downforce and it lifts when u brake hard so u stop quicker, and it looks damn good
im just expressing my hate for over sized spoilers. I know they help with down force at high speeds but I cant stand the way they look.
@ Ryan there is a spoiler but it only comes out at speed. Not new tech but welcome in this case.

If mclaren wanted to make the p1 alot more hyped than it is now, they should have never showed its body
