never cared much for the E63's looks compared to the C63 and other AMGs but i agree this new E63 looks ugly and doesnt come close(as far as good looks) as any of its competitors.
It will grow on to you. Didn't care for until I seen it at the auto show. Jaw dropping. Although it sucks that the facias are looking like that of BMW's or vice versa.

I think they only keep the 63 in the name to give credit to the old '68-72 300SEL 6.3, which was a beast. And is still pretty fast by today's standards.
They didn't have to downsize it. They could have called it an E55 just like the 04-08 models. And also someone who doesn't know cars won't be buying an AMG
U never downsize the number of the new version, because ordinary buyer will think that's less powerful car, or just simply don't feel comfortable about it.
585 HP is a lot but I would expect a lot more out of a twin turbo 5.5 V8.
Yea me too but now a days most people don't even know that the numbers meant/mean something. Those of us who do know that they are meaningless now.

Good try but no. CTS-V is a world class super sedan second only to the E63. Better than the XFR and as good as an M5

E63 is king of the super sedans now in my opinion. I think this new model has passed the CTS-V.
I always found it ironic that Black Series weren't ever actually the color black.
