Leno Loves the Vanquish

Jay Leno checks out the latest and perhaps all-around finest GT car Aston Martin has ever built.

Jay Leno is "astounded" by the new Aston Martin Vanquish. It takes a total of five weeks of manpower hours to build each one. That's the type of bespoke quality we're dealing with here, so don't be surprised by the Vanquish's $280,000 asking price. With its 6.0-liter V12 producing 565 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, the entire car is constructed from carbon fiber and aluminum, yet it still weighs around 3,800 lbs. But as Leno notes, the Vanquish is the true GT car in every sense.

It's fast yet extremely comfortable to ride in and is ideal for beach highway cruises. When in track mode, the Vanquish is also a formidable foe on the track. It's a true "gentleman's car" in every sense. And once that engine is ignited, the sound it emits is downright spectacular.
