Your an idiot. Camaros are probably the greatest pony of all time. Every Stang looks the same and if you count all the models like Mustang II then it was dead for 8 or more too.
Car buzz, what makes this a "top 5"? Can you even celebrate a 45th anniversary if you stopped production for 8yrs? The Camaro isn't really that great of a car yet you keep including it in top 5 stories, how good was that steak dinner? ;-)
@kasey those #s are different at the track then on the Internet my friends SS stock ran 12.3 and the mustang gt ran 12.5 stock
Jordan. Last I checked the 5.0 runs around a 12.7 stock in the 1/4 mile. And the SS runs a 13.3 or so. Not so close. I am not a mustang fanboy at all. I have ALWAYS hated the mustang until I drove the new 5.0. I wouldn't buy either cars

Why are we comparing a GTI and a Camaro SS? They are completely different cars! Both of them are fun in there own ways, and there would be times when each one would be more fun and better than the other! Both of them are great!

Oh, and Kasey, the 5.0 and Camaro are practically the same with performance. So it's not insanity or brand loyalty, it's preference. I like Mustangs a lot, but I'd probably go with a Camaro.
Actually, lemme give it a shot. Curtis, good luck beating a V8 Camaro in anything with a GTI. And Carlos, no German car can match the same performance for the same price.

I've only seen the 45th anniversary edition in a V6. I hear there's an SS but the motors and everything's the same except for little trim stuff. Sooo what's the point in paying more for cheesy aesthetics, when you can do them to your preference.
@matt, of you can spend 33k then you can finance 7k. And if you're already financing 33k your bank will likely finance you 7k more. But probably only on a brand new car. They don't like to budge on used cars.

The ONLY two reasons to buy a camaro is brand loyalty and insanity. If you want an American muscle car buy a mustang 5.0 it's cheaper and faster. I have driven both.

I have this car and it is a 2010 they released the 40th anniversary on the 39th.
not a fan. been in one of these. It just wasn't exciting. it felt like a passenger car that had been dressed up to look like a sports car.
I don't understand it... But I have always liked the 370z since it first came out. It's the opposite of what I normally like in a car. Just something about it appeals to me...
I just don't like where Nissan is headed with the Z series. They're heavy cars that don't seem to have that well performance. Who knows though maybe I'm wrong.
And I would agree the frs trio holds the title for the purest sports car, I sai it was one of the purest
@ dillon, not really. 0-60 in 5 seconds flat isn't bad. Anyways, it's not built for the drag strip, the gearing wasn't intended for off the line speed. it was built for the track where it performs great. These have always been handling oriented.
I disagree Matt. It's underpowered for its weight and is almost more of a GT car now than a sports car. FRS trio currently holds the the Purest sports car title IMO.
