Audi TT Gets the Amplified Black Look

Audi's sport coupe gets some extra black trim for a more sinister look.

Order up an Audi TT (in the UK at least) and you can specify the Black Edition, which as you might have guessed, applies some extra black trim to differentiate your TT coupe or roadster from the one your hairdresser drives. Now Audi is offering an even more accented Amplified Black package to step up the carbon look another notch. Based on the top-of-the-line S trim level, the Black Edition includes blacked-out grille and license frame, tinted glass and xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights.

The interior is decked out in black leather and Alcantara, with a Bose sound system and smartphone connectivity. Opt for the Amplified Black package, however, and you get a front lip spoiler, mirror housings, rear diffuser, twin exhaust tips, the rear spoiler off the TT RS and unique 19-inch wheels, all decked out in black. Buyers can choose between white, red, grey or a special shade of Samoa Orange, and can specify between the 2.0-liter TFSI (in front- or Quattro all-wheel drive) or TDI Quattro, with either a manual or S tronic transmission (both with six speeds) and in coupe or roadster body-styles. Prices accordingly range from £31,365 OTR to £36,360.
