High-performance GT-R comes with 595 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque.
By tomorrow we should have the full skinny on the Nissan GT-R Nismo. In the meantime, check out the first official images and details. Chief amongst these is the output figures with the Nismo-tuned Godzilla producing 595 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 50 hp and 17 lb-ft. The uprated 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 receives revised intake and exhaust systems, bigger turbos derived from the GT3-spec model, and modified ignition timing.
Nissan claims this is the maximum amount of power it could squeeze from the engine without damaging the transmission. The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available with an optional track pack that recently posted a 7:08.69 time at the Nurburgring. The kit includes a range of carbon-fiber body parts that shave 65kg off the car’s curb weight, a front splitter, huge rear spoiler and chassis upgrades such as adjustable Ohlins shocks. More official photos and information will be released in the next 24 hours, so stay tuned.
