Limited to just 100 units, there will also be 100 suckers out there to buy them.
Cadillac is working harder than ever in making sure it’s marketed as an exclusive brand on the level of Mercedes-Benz and BMW. That’s all fine and good, but there comes a time when an already expensive car becomes more expensive just because it’s a special edition. This is one of those instances. Presenting the 2014 Cadillac ELR Saks Fifth Avenue Edition, and it costs a bat shit crazy $89,500 plus a $995 destination fee. So how special is this ELR?
Aside from being limited to just 100 examples, this holiday season collaboration between Cadillac and Saks Fifth Avenue comes with a White Diamond paint exterior and either a Jet Black or Light Cashmere interior. Owners will also receive an upgraded 240-volt charging station with professional installation. In addition, the car also includes a "Concierge Representative" who is trained in "white-glove customer care." This person will basically serve as a rep between the owner and Cadillac dealer. Buyers will receive their cars in March, after paying some $14,500 over a regular ELR, which still costs a hefty $75k.
