Nearly two years after it appeared in concept form, the production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C should have its debut in less than two months.
We're actually somewhat surprised that Alfa Romeo even bothers camouflaging its 4C test mules. In other words, it's no secret as to what the production version will look like. When the 4C debuted as a concept back at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, it was clear that it was nearly 95 percent production ready. But still, it's good to know that Alfa Romeo hasn't crapped out in regards to actually putting the mid-engined sports car into production. It's set to arrive on US shores sometime later this year, most likely in the summer.
The production version should have its debut at this year's Geneva show, which is only a couple of months away. The 4C will be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder mounted mid-ship that'll produce at least 300 horsepower. In keeping with proper Alfa tradition, the 4C will be rear-wheel-drive and weight will be kept to a minimum, roughly around 2,200 lbs. We'll have more details in the coming weeks as the official debut of the Alfa Romeo 4C gets closer.
