Scooped: Audi S3 Cabrio Caught Winter Testing
The drop-top S3 was spied in the snow looking very close to production-ready.
Last week we caught the upcoming Audi A3 sedan out doing some final testing ahead of its debut, and today our intrepid spy photographers have delivered some fresh images of the convertible variant out driving in the snow. Don't mistake it for the base model. This is in fact the 300 horsepower S3 convertible. Overall there isn't much camouflage on this test mule so it's rather easy to see that it'll feature some styling traits taken from the larger A5 convertible, which is certainly not a bad thing.
The current A3 convertible is based off the hatchback variant while the new model shares more in common with the new A3 sedan. No official launch date has been set but we expect the S3 convertible to arrive sometime this year as a 2014 model.
