Though it'd easy to lump all hot hatches into the same category, in reality there's a wide variety between them. The
BMW M135i and
Subaru Impreza WRX STI, for example, may seem about as far apart on the hot-hatch spectrum as can be. One's German, the other Japanese. One's a three-door, the other four (making it a sedan, technically, but we'll let that slide). One's a premium product, the other a juiced econo-box. What they have in common is their output: both produce 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, but deliver them in very different ways.
