KTM X-Bow GT to Debut at Geneva

The highly-anticipated GT version of the KTM X-Bow is finally set to have its official debut at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

The KTM X-Bow has been around since 2008 where it debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. It's had small updates ever since but at this year's Geneva show, a powerful version is set to arrive. The long-rumored X-Bow GT will have its premiere this March. Official details haven't been released just yet but earlier rumors suggested that it will be powered by a five-cylinder engine similar to what's found under the hood of the famed Audi TT-RS. The engine that's available currently is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four.

Other expected updates include new windscreen and doors as well as a new carbon-fiber monocoque. What remains unknown is whether the company will drop the current X-Bow in favor of the upcoming GT version. GT Spirit claims that 80 units (an excellent number for an enthusiast car like this) were sold in 2012 alone, almost guaranteeing immediate success for the new GT.
