No that illusion trick is for this vette, the angle of the lights and the shape of the rear bumper make it look smaller then normal when not viewing it directly from behind, c5 and c6 were just crazy wide for crazy traction
The back really irritates me. They did a great job with the rest of the car. Looks like Camaro lights.
Will, IMO the C5 looked the worst from all the generations, according to rear width illusion. I'm not saying it was ugly, but it looked extremely fat assed
If your still not sure about the back, go to jalopnik someone got pictures of a black one and blue one on the streets and the back looks fantastic when on the move, the back end styling gives the illusion of a smaller car from the back, where before the vette just always looked huge from behind
The back fits well with the car as a whole, if it was any different, it will look out of place.
