Michael DunneJan 29, 2013 America Fuck Yeah? Er, hold on there pardner. Based on a English car's chassis (the Lotus Exige) The Venom GT is built and tested at Silverstone, England....Take that Europe? not quite. *Correction of previous post*
Michael DunneJan 29, 2013 America Fuck Yeah? Er, hold on there pardner. Based on a English car's chassis, the Lotus Exige is built and tested at Silverstone, England....Take that Europe? not quite.
Adam ThomsonJan 28, 2013 I hope koenigsegg Will smoke that lotus!
Richard NicholsJan 25, 2013 It's quick. Very quick and I like that, but I'd still have a mclaren p1.
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 I agree with Luis and Jacob.
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 @ Jacob, Luis ππππππ
Luis MeleJan 22, 2013 Lets see if the agera r 2013 can retrieve it
Shane CarrollJan 22, 2013 There's a reason the LS platform is the most popular engine built. I suppose a 16 cylinder quad turbo engine is the pinnacle of reliability.
Jacob BurfordJan 22, 2013 Well done Hennessy! Still prefer a Agera R, but still great!
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 There is nothing original about this car, also it is properly running so much boost that it won't last long.
Aron FlemmerJan 22, 2013 I am no american but i like the US. i am from Sweden and in winter here YOU NEED 4wd!!!
Aron FlemmerJan 22, 2013 I am not surprised that it's so much faster from 0-300 than the veyron. becouse the veyron's weight is nearly 2 tonnes. And i'm guessing this is about 1,2 - 1,4 tonnes. The veyron is luxurious and it has got 4wd. The henessey has none of that.
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 "In house" does not mean one building. It can be multiple, just as long as its done by the same organization.
Shane CarrollJan 22, 2013 @Evan nothing is designed or manufactured in house? Perhaps do, say, 30 seconds of research before flopping your "facts" around
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 Of course someone else can build it if they didn't engineer any of the parts themselves
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 I still will take any European supercar or hypercar over this anydau
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 It will only be shortlived.
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 And I predict that someone will beat this in the near future.
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 And nothing is designed or manufactured in house, disregard the gay thing, that was a low blow.
Evan ElisioJan 22, 2013 Ok..... That still doesn't change the fact that I don't like it. It may be good, but it lacks in other areas in my opinion
Phillip NewportJan 22, 2013 Thats pretty amazing, but I'd still have an Agera R over the Venom.
Aron FlemmerJan 22, 2013 Well done henessey, but everyone that knows what a car is made to do knows that the veyron is a better car. You can use the veyron in normal life and it's fast but the henessey is just fast. No offense but thats my opinion. Sorry for my bad english.
Jack HowardJan 22, 2013 So many people think they can just build a 1000+hp car and expect it to function properly.
Tim PreisingerJan 22, 2013 @Evan. Can't wait to see you build a car better then this one! You claim a retard can build this, so that means you can too! I cant wait to see it!!! ...idiot.
Tyler TarboxJan 21, 2013 @Evan. You really are a moron. This car is a masterpiece. And with regards to Texas, I don't really see how it's gay at all. It's quite possibly the only state that could secede and actually survive. You'd get you're ass kicked here in Texas
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 Hahahaha Evan you poor idiot. Please build one of these. Lets see it. I bet you can't even build a Lego Venom GT
Ben KnorrJan 21, 2013 I sense a shitstorm coming lol
Evan ElisioJan 21, 2013 Correction.... A retard can build one. And how about using you own parts manufactured and designed in house.
Evan ElisioJan 21, 2013 It also does not change the fact that it is American tuned shit, you just made the lotus extremely gay...... Like the state it comes from..... Texas.
Evan ElisioJan 21, 2013 You are forgetting that is not stock. Take that....also it really ugly and overpriced for what it is. I can build one easily.
Kyle RawnJan 21, 2013 Yeah cause compared to these two the Veyron is a fat pig with less power and geared for top speed.
Sasa JungicJan 21, 2013 Oh good. I always thought Agera was slow. :D.. This is kinda silly. It's just numbers. Of course its faster it has more power. The thing that shocks me is how slow Veyron is compare to Agera and Venom
Austin SullivanJan 21, 2013 I'd take an Agera R over this any day. Looks better and the interior isn't crap.
Felix RhettJan 21, 2013 I can't argue that koenigsegg motors aren't influenced by ford technologies, but I can maintain that koenigsegg has been building their own motors for over 7 years now.
Felix RhettJan 21, 2013 @william the agera's motor is actually the second to be developed and built in house. The ccr used a 4.7Lsc ford modular v8, but the ccx (2006) used a 4.7L twin supercharged v8 manufactured by koenigsegg themselves.
Sam OglesbyJan 21, 2013 Take that Europe it's based on a lotus I admit most of it is not a lotus anymore
Ashton SummersJan 21, 2013 Make sure you visit the toilet before stepping on the go pedal.
Justin RouthJan 21, 2013 Anyone calling this a Lotus needs to go watch a video on what they do to turn that lotus into the venom, its almost a whole new car. It still is based off a lotus so the comments about it handling bad cuz its american are just plain stupid
William DownsJan 21, 2013 Felix koenigsegg was using a modified ford engine from the beginning, they stopped with the Agera motor, motor in the Agera is there first ever fully developed and built in house motors, it has dimensions and tolerances used from a ford racing block... take your own advice Felix
Kyle RawnJan 21, 2013 I'd still take a KΓΆnigsegg though. Because you're never gonna use these speeds, so I'd want some luxury interior in my car.
Kyle RawnJan 21, 2013 I felt like this was already common knowledge :/ Anyway, let's see some track times!
Thibault LeroyJan 21, 2013 @Johny Well then a retarded 8 year old boy made the fastest production car in the world...
@Leonard i agree
Shane CarrollJan 21, 2013 I'm sorry but if you wouldn't drive this because "its got a Lotus body" you need to be checked into a mental facility
Ryu TsuchiyaJan 21, 2013 can it take corners without killing everybody? xD
Arick VoigtJan 21, 2013 @Leonard: Oh but Europeans can take a stab at us anytime they want right? It's just a bit of humor.
Felix RhettJan 21, 2013 @skyler @johnny c'mon guys, not even the ccx used a ford engine. Koenigsegg has been building their own engines for nearly a decade. If you don't know what your talking about, don't post!
Lou GuerreroJan 21, 2013 Don't be so sensitive, Leonard. It's all in good fun.
Pablo HerasmeJan 21, 2013 I rather go on a vehicle that is not based of a lotus
Colby ChurchJan 21, 2013 @Alex Well isn't someone upset? I would rather be in the Venom GT rather than that fat ugly beetle. :)
Leonard Pai ChidamwoyoJan 21, 2013 'Take That Europe'is a bit uncalled for and that statement is what's causing all the fights. Its a great achievement by Venom but its ruined by Carbuzz childish headline. Its a great car n where or who made it shouldn't matter.
Jack HowardJan 21, 2013 It only took a second to reach 200mph from 186? Holy whizz.
Skyler WhiteJan 21, 2013 Actually, the CCR and the CCX used modified Ford engines. The Agera's is built completely in house.
Johnny MatiasJan 21, 2013 People complaining that this is based off a lotus, well the engine the Agera R uses is a modified Ford V8... And the Veyron is like a retarded 8 year old told them what to do. Hey let's put 2 v8s together and just for extra measure throw 4 turbos on it! And then make them even bigger!!!!
Nodnarb YdilJan 21, 2013 I think Romnel wa referring the the AC Shelby cobra
Sam ReinselJan 21, 2013 @Rommel I think the major difference is that the Cobra is actually sold by ford itself. A better comparison would be a Saleen or Rousche Mustang.
Victor PittsJan 21, 2013 And if people talk shit about this car after seeing the numbers on paper and realize what this car really is, then those people need their 'car card' revoked because you are no longer a car enthusiast.
Victor PittsJan 21, 2013 'Merica! And the Venom GT is 600k-900k cheaper then the Veyron!
Stephen Tyler LearnJan 21, 2013 @ Jose there's very few places in the world where the speeds can be reached. One of them is the vw testing facility which they won't let anyone else use
Ray MorenoJan 21, 2013 He is Pat TEXAS WHOOP ASS! MERICA! lol.
Quinn RogersJan 21, 2013 It's not like this is the only car that uses parts from other companies
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 Jay, what makes you think this will fall apart? Are you butt hurt too?
Jay KolvenbagJan 21, 2013 At least the koenigsegg and the bugatti won't fall apart
Elijah Chet RoseberryJan 21, 2013 I love everyone who is talking shit, I nor anyone else cares that's it's designed in England. We made it better, suck a dick. Not to mention that there is still another 300+ hp on tap.
Rommel PowellJan 21, 2013 People complaining about it being a "Lotus" lol. I wonder if the same people bitch about the Shelby Cobra......think about it.
Andrew HendersonJan 21, 2013 "Take that Europe" they using a base car thats designed and Assembled in Hethel, Norfolk, England! Duuuuuhhhhh!!!
Jose Manuel Rosa GarciaJan 21, 2013 My question is why they havent tested the venom gt's top speed yet? They rated the car to 272 mph with no proof of that yet.
Lucas DvoracekJan 21, 2013 Well that's about the same as my 0- 60....
Droops AsistioJan 21, 2013 "TakeThatEurope" yet the car's design is borrowed from an Elise. wow
Matt PiccoloJan 21, 2013 Wasn't their an article on this like 2, 3 weeks ago?
Adam SchoenbergJan 21, 2013 Has it been to the Nurburgring to see how it stacks up with something besides straight line speed?
Alex HohenzollernJan 21, 2013 next veyron will be faster don't worry as usual all that counts in the states is how fast it is on a straight line which one would you rather go 200 mph+ in the over engineered German or the crazy American with the unpredictable hi speed handling
Ryan LopezJan 21, 2013 WTF it's 3 in the morning and I'm sick
Chris ChavezFeb 13, 2013 Better looking then the Bugatti and faster.
David LeeJan 24, 2013 @Cody The car looks like a piece of shit standing still. Why base such a fast car off a lotus? If they had a purpose built body, it would go faster.
Cody GillardJan 22, 2013 Car looks fast standing still wish it was the fastest car in the world
William DownsJan 22, 2013 To bad there is almost no lot use left in there but the windshield and some little bits
Anthony DillonJan 22, 2013 Just a lotus with a better engine.
Zachary MaurerJan 21, 2013 Lol, I was putting a -__- face down, but it turned to a ... Idk y, but my friend was over and we just decided to play Nfs for fun
Jackson MichaelJan 21, 2013 I didn't realize that Steven Tyler had sideburns and flo rida wears ascots. There's really no major difference it's just the personal preference of the ultra-rich
Ashton SummersJan 21, 2013 The difference between this and the Veyron are the drivers. On has got sideburns and is blasting Pantera and the other is wearing an ascot and has a dog name Jacques, also with a matching ascot.
Aaron CrispJan 21, 2013 I honestly don't know if I could handle all that power without killing myself, but that's what makes me love it more.
David HarrisJan 21, 2013 Venom looks so good. I would pick this over a veyron anyday
Zachary MaurerJan 21, 2013 I just got this in need for Speed, most wanted. I had to performance my Bugatti veyron Vitesse just to beat it -_-
Ray MorenoJan 21, 2013 Once again the most referred and used saying. "They're all good cars in their own respect"...VENOM GT STILL WHOOP'D THAT A$$! hahahaa.
Carlton SalmonJan 21, 2013 Completely agree with Paul and Shivash.
Luke FincherJan 21, 2013 This car was meant strictly to be a drivers car, no gimmicks just all raw car that was built to get a specific job done... Which it did. I think it is a totally different type of car than the Bugatti
Ian BargerJan 21, 2013 Yeah i agree. I hate that it just looks like a Lotus.
Ben DoolittleJan 21, 2013 If every panel is original why not make it look original?
Bader Al AjeelJan 21, 2013 Now what happened to ssc tuatara
Paul TrahanJan 21, 2013 I agree with Shivash. I respect the Venom GT and what it has accomplished, but if I had the money I would go with the Agera R. The Agera just seems like a better package overall even though it is slower.
Shivash SinghJan 21, 2013 I respect it though but if you look at how long development took and overall quality and what you get it backs up my idea
Shivash SinghJan 21, 2013 although its faster than the veyron i think it lacks something that the agera r and veyron has i get the sense this car was just built for beating the veyron whereas veyron was made because they wanted make it and same with the agera r
Description: During testing, the Venom GT was also clocked at going from 0-60 mph in 3.05 seconds, 0-100 mph in 5.88 seconds, the standing quarter-mile in 10.29 seconds at 158.83 mph and the standing half-mile at ...Add Comments67
Nate MataJan 31, 2013 Isn't the transmission out of a ford gt?
Adam ThomsonJan 28, 2013 It was actually welsh people who started america!!
Sam ReinselJan 26, 2013 Yeah but white people from europe killed off or drove off all the Native americans.... They settled this land, not founded this country. (No disrespect intended, just historical accuracy)
Miguel JimenezJan 23, 2013 It was the Native Americans who founded this country. And were are the native Americans originally from? Oh yea Asia.
Miguel JimenezJan 23, 2013 Jack, and if I'm not prove me wrong.
Jack HowardJan 22, 2013 Miguel, I hope you're kidding.
Daniel PermienJan 22, 2013 Peter you little boy.......
Columbus was from repuplic of genoa in Liguria.... Back in the day it was an independant state of its own. It became a part of italy in 1797
William DownsJan 22, 2013 Nvm my last statement I was mid informed. LSX refferes to anyΒ LS motor that has been bored and stroked past stock displacmemt
Miguel JimenezJan 22, 2013 I believe it was the Asians who founded this country thousands of years before Columbus. I don't know why our country gives credit to these (like my grandfather would call them) without shame Europeans.
William DownsJan 22, 2013 Its not an LSX, its an LS2 that's gets bored and stroked to a 7.0L
Jack HowardJan 22, 2013 Because there isn't a track they can do it on because Volkswagen has the only one you can achieve top speed with
Brandon P RalstonJan 21, 2013 They have said this car will do 275 for almost a year now and yet it still hasn't done it! Why not break the record and take it from the Bugatti. If nobody wants to run it flat out let me have a crack ill do it !
Tyler TarboxJan 21, 2013 @Jack. Excellent point. I hadn't thought of that
Janak SolankiJan 21, 2013 Dude that thing is pulling a G during acceleration in first and second! Holy Crap!
Ashton SummersJan 21, 2013 @shane. In addition to the Scandinavians. It is proposed that Chinese explorer Zheng He may have set foot in the America's 70 years before Columbus, thus he gets the bronze. Not sure what this has to do with the venom though.
Sam HansenJan 21, 2013 This is just a stretched Lotus with a LSX...
Sergio ArevaloJan 21, 2013 Great for America??? But where is the Autobahn ( Freeway ) to run this thing!!! Like in Deutschland ( Germany )......
Peter Mark GacekJan 21, 2013 Hahaha Columbus was Italian. Go to school children.
Ben KnorrJan 21, 2013 what a ballistic machine! You gotta admire its capabilities. I'd love to see a video of someone wrestling with this beast at the nurburgring.
Jack HowardJan 21, 2013 This car is geared to go 272mph. Of course the acceleration is gonna suffer a little.
Nathan LoJan 21, 2013 I'm actually kinda surprised the quarter mile isn't sub 10seconds.....
Mario CallirgosJan 21, 2013 I wonder if you people feel the same about the ford gt
Kris C. LopezJan 21, 2013 Unfortunately no matter how american it's heart is the Brits deserve a slice of the cake here.
Tyler TarboxJan 21, 2013 0-60 in 3 seconds. Hmm. Don't get me wrong that is insanely fast but I would have expected this car to be a couple tenths faster there
Israel TenienteJan 21, 2013 Still a tuned car, a tuned lotus, thats british
Shane CarrollJan 21, 2013 @Daniel not particularly surprising when you factor in that weight and AWD equals good initial grip off the line. But everywhere else that weight drags it down
Daniel ZammitJan 21, 2013 Funny how its slower 0-60 & 1/4 mile the the Veyron?
David GrayJan 21, 2013 Whatever it's nae my country I don't give a shit. I just knew it wasn't Brits that discovered as was said lower down the page.
Elias HarbJan 21, 2013 The g meter is upside down isnt it ?
Shane CarrollJan 21, 2013 Actually David, many historians agree that the Scandinavians sailing from Greenland set foot on the continent hundreds of years before Columbus "discovered" it.
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 He was Portuguese. And Amerigo Vespucci technically discovered America.
Regardless, all the butthurt Euro boys down there are crackin me up.
David GrayJan 21, 2013 Wasn't it Columbus that discovered America? He was Spanish, nae British.
Colby ChurchJan 21, 2013 And America doesn't have any super light, exotic looking cars to tune to this extremity. Lotus was a great choice. America was originally founded by Brits anyways. But Europe has SO many car markets to choose from it isn't even funny. Logical choice.
Colby ChurchJan 21, 2013 @Philippe This thing would destroy on the track dude. Lightweight body, fat tires, low center of gravity. A complete track beast.
Wyatt GordonJan 21, 2013 I wonder if this car is inbred?
Lou GuerreroJan 21, 2013 Why was that G ball reading backwards?
Ben BrightJan 21, 2013 Love the guy that wrote this article! Merica!
Carlos Gallego RodriguezJan 21, 2013 Although i like it, the Veyron was genesis, since that car everybody is trying to beat it. So that's why i would take the veyron.
Nick PalmerJan 21, 2013 Too bad it's built off of a European car...
David GrayJan 21, 2013 Start with nothing but raw material, then you can be patriotic about it.
Johnny MatiasJan 21, 2013 Remember every body panel is reworked kinda like the Koenigsegg's ford engine. The chassis is clearly not lotus because its been completely stretched and fitted to a v8 instead of a non British Toyota I4. This thing is about as British as the real one.
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 Philippe, there's vids of it at the Goodwood Festival of speed from awhile ago. It's hard to have videos if this car when there's only 7 of them.
Jordan SmithJan 21, 2013 Wait so the top speed was tested too? Or is that just the estimate?
Miranda Nearlydriftingondreams PavelleJan 21, 2013 Can people stop getting into arguments with complete strangers who live hundreds of miles away from you? The racing officials have looked up the rules, I assure you. Otherwise this record would go to someone else. Let the facts stand.
Philippe MiotJan 21, 2013 This is not an everyday car. It's got a roll cage and is setup for mainly track use. Is there any footage of it going around a corner?
Compared to a Veyron (for example) you can use that car everyday. It's comfortable / luxurious, has a degree of usability and was built as an engineering showcase.
Haoliang LiJan 21, 2013 Want to see it run around the Ring.
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 Hahaha and many Italian cars use German parts because they are owned by VW? The Lotus's have Toyota engines. Stop bitching you turds and take your ass-whooping like a man!
Mario CallirgosJan 21, 2013 This is an all American because that's what America is, the very best from around the world in one place or thing
Mario CallirgosJan 21, 2013 Well alot of britsh cars are powered by non british engines!! Lotus-Toyota Ascari-BMW. Morgan-BMW. And even koeniggseg used a ford derived 5.0 although completely reworked
Tyler WilliamsonJan 21, 2013 No matter where each little part comes from.
Tyler WilliamsonJan 21, 2013 I mean you guys can hate all you want but numbers are numbers. And an American tuning house brought together all the parts to make it. Power to them for making it work.
Stephane RiouxJan 21, 2013 they should do this with an american car if they want to be patriotic about it
Manuel T. KingsleyJan 21, 2013 chassis of a lotus, which is made in england. when the whole car "venom GT" AKA lotus is made in america then we can bragg. for now good job hennessey. thanks to europe for their constribusion.
Josh NegronJan 21, 2013 @Michael If its that simple, why doesn't anyone build a million dollar hypercar? You up for it?
Michael HendersonJan 21, 2013 Engine - USA
Chassis - England
Gearbox - England
Assembly - England
Just saying.
Ryan LopezJan 21, 2013 Haha i like the f-ck yeah at the end
David GrayJan 21, 2013 Aye Hennessey have done a pretty good tune job on that Exige S from Lotus there.
Erik RudolphJan 21, 2013 This thing is an absolute monster
Tyler TarboxJan 21, 2013 Hahaha I love Daniel Tosh. Basically he is famous for saying all the politically incorrect things that everyone else is too afraid to say in front of millions of American
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 He's trying to be American Lou. Davey Crockett style. Come on Thibault, you can join our team.
Lou GuerreroJan 21, 2013 Never pegged Thibault as a Frenchman. Looks like he's wearing a coonskin hat and holding a rifle in his pic.
Thibault LeroyJan 21, 2013 @Patrick i was talking about people in general, and i dont mind jokes like that every once in a while but after a while it gets anoying. But yeah cool car
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 Haha I don't do it THAT often. Lighten up. Don't you ever listen to comedians?
Shane, no you're thinkin of that man that stretches his arms and legs really far.
Shane CarrollJan 21, 2013 @Aaron no you're thinking of that jazz musician
Aaron CrispJan 21, 2013 Plus he walked on the moon in 1969. (Kidding)
Aaron CrispJan 21, 2013 Regardless of his cycling, look at what he's done for cancer research and what not. More than I'll ever be able to do.
Thibault LeroyJan 21, 2013 @Patrick I know but it gets annoying after a while
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 Hahaha Thibault I'm just joking around. I got that joke from Daniel Tosh. You Frenchies are sensitive.
David, at least you know.
Rommel PowellJan 21, 2013 I guess Lance Armstrong hurt a lot of people by coming out. The cycling world will never be the same (sarcasm) lmfao
Thibault LeroyJan 21, 2013 I don't care about that, its the comment on France that makes him sound really ignorant
Tyler TarboxJan 21, 2013 I agree completely with Patrick. Who gives a shit if he juiced? It's cycling for God's sake. And he helped so many people as well.
David GrayJan 21, 2013 Can't argue with Patrick, Thibault. He knows everything there is to know about car culture, so he must be an expert on the world's opinion on drug cheats aswell obviously
Thibault LeroyJan 21, 2013 Patrick shut the fuck up and get a life
Shane CarrollJan 21, 2013 @Ricky develop your own 1500hp supercar, then talk
Rommel PowellJan 21, 2013 @Patrick...EXACTLY. He rides a bike. He can be on crack for all I care.
Ricky ChoiJan 21, 2013 Nice lotus.
Should come up with ur own design then talk.
Patrick SchalkJan 21, 2013 No one cares about Lance Armstrong. No one cares about cycling, that's why it's in France. Who cares if he doped? He's helped more people than anyone who will see this comment.
Pablo HerasmeJan 21, 2013 Yea a Lotus on steriods...
Donte PerinoJan 21, 2013 Don't even start on Lance...
Rommel PowellJan 21, 2013 And now I like Lance Armstrong even more now that I know he was juicing.
Majed AmeeriJan 21, 2013 It is like Lance Armstrong
Kwasi PrempehJan 21, 2013 If cars were drug tested this would be an obvious candidate. The Venom is an Elise on steroids. Great piece of engineering.
Colby ChurchJan 22, 2013 I can't even remember when I last saw a Lotus. And this definitely has a more striking appearance, even if it is based on the Lotus. This thing looks pure wicked.
Colby ChurchJan 22, 2013 Aren't Lotuses supposed to be exotic and sexy though? Because it sure looks like it. No big deal if you ask me, I think they picked the perfect car to modify.
Scuttle ButtocksJan 21, 2013 America... Where every other country is stupid and we're the prime aspect of health. Right. But still the more fast cars the better!
Haoliang LiJan 21, 2013 Looks just like a stretched Lotus.
Jordan JacksonJan 21, 2013 I think you can call it more than hype now, lol
Brandon HarpJan 21, 2013 Better than the veyron, but nowhere near the koenigsegg, I agree with a lot of people, it looks pretty nice, but it's just because it's a hyped up lotus for the most part
Barrak Al-SarrafJan 21, 2013 Faster than a Bugatti, and in my opinion even better looking. Well done Americans.
America Fuck Yeah? Er, hold on there pardner. Based on a English car's chassis (the Lotus Exige) The Venom GT is built and tested at Silverstone, England....Take that Europe? not quite. *Correction of previous post*

Thats pretty amazing, but I'd still have an Agera R over the Venom.
Well done henessey, but everyone that knows what a car is made to do knows that the veyron is a better car. You can use the veyron in normal life and it's fast but the henessey is just fast. No offense but thats my opinion. Sorry for my bad english.
So many people think they can just build a 1000+hp car and expect it to function properly.
@Evan. Can't wait to see you build a car better then this one! You claim a retard can build this, so that means you can too! I cant wait to see it!!! ...idiot.
Ya Texans hate gay people
@Evan. You really are a moron. This car is a masterpiece. And with regards to Texas, I don't really see how it's gay at all. It's quite possibly the only state that could secede and actually survive. You'd get you're ass kicked here in Texas
Hahahaha Evan you poor idiot. Please build one of these. Lets see it. I bet you can't even build a Lego Venom GT
I sense a shitstorm coming lol
Correction.... A retard can build one. And how about using you own parts manufactured and designed in house.
It also does not change the fact that it is American tuned shit, you just made the lotus extremely gay...... Like the state it comes from..... Texas.
You are forgetting that is not stock. Take that....also it really ugly and overpriced for what it is. I can build one easily.
Yeah cause compared to these two the Veyron is a fat pig with less power and geared for top speed.
Oh good. I always thought Agera was slow. :D.. This is kinda silly. It's just numbers. Of course its faster it has more power. The thing that shocks me is how slow Veyron is compare to Agera and Venom
I'd take an Agera R over this any day. Looks better and the interior isn't crap.
I commented
I agree with Kyle
I can't argue that koenigsegg motors aren't influenced by ford technologies, but I can maintain that koenigsegg has been building their own motors for over 7 years now.
@william the agera's motor is actually the second to be developed and built in house. The ccr used a 4.7Lsc ford modular v8, but the ccx (2006) used a 4.7L twin supercharged v8 manufactured by koenigsegg themselves.
Take that Europe it's based on a lotus I admit most of it is not a lotus anymore
Make sure you visit the toilet before stepping on the go pedal.
Anyone calling this a Lotus needs to go watch a video on what they do to turn that lotus into the venom, its almost a whole new car. It still is based off a lotus so the comments about it handling bad cuz its american are just plain stupid
I loved that first sentence! Lol
This is so sick!!!!!
Felix koenigsegg was using a modified ford engine from the beginning, they stopped with the Agera motor, motor in the Agera is there first ever fully developed and built in house motors, it has dimensions and tolerances used from a ford racing block... take your own advice Felix
I'd still take a KΓΆnigsegg though. Because you're never gonna use these speeds, so I'd want some luxury interior in my car.
I felt like this was already common knowledge :/ Anyway, let's see some track times!
@Johny Well then a retarded 8 year old boy made the fastest production car in the world... @Leonard i agree
I'm sorry but if you wouldn't drive this because "its got a Lotus body" you need to be checked into a mental facility
can it take corners without killing everybody? xD
@Leonard: Oh but Europeans can take a stab at us anytime they want right? It's just a bit of humor.
@skyler @johnny c'mon guys, not even the ccx used a ford engine. Koenigsegg has been building their own engines for nearly a decade. If you don't know what your talking about, don't post!
Don't be so sensitive, Leonard. It's all in good fun.
I rather go on a vehicle that is not based of a lotus
@Alex Well isn't someone upset? I would rather be in the Venom GT rather than that fat ugly beetle. :)
'Take That Europe'is a bit uncalled for and that statement is what's causing all the fights. Its a great achievement by Venom but its ruined by Carbuzz childish headline. Its a great car n where or who made it shouldn't matter.
It only took a second to reach 200mph from 186? Holy whizz.
Actually, the CCR and the CCX used modified Ford engines. The Agera's is built completely in house.
People complaining that this is based off a lotus, well the engine the Agera R uses is a modified Ford V8... And the Veyron is like a retarded 8 year old told them what to do. Hey let's put 2 v8s together and just for extra measure throw 4 turbos on it! And then make them even bigger!!!!
I think Romnel wa referring the the AC Shelby cobra
@Rommel I think the major difference is that the Cobra is actually sold by ford itself. A better comparison would be a Saleen or Rousche Mustang.
And if people talk shit about this car after seeing the numbers on paper and realize what this car really is, then those people need their 'car card' revoked because you are no longer a car enthusiast.
'Merica! And the Venom GT is 600k-900k cheaper then the Veyron!
Im impressed
They ought to close that new toll road in Texas to test it. It would be symbolic.
Whoo! 'Merica!
@ Jose there's very few places in the world where the speeds can be reached. One of them is the vw testing facility which they won't let anyone else use
He is Pat TEXAS WHOOP ASS! MERICA! lol.
It's not like this is the only car that uses parts from other companies
Jay, what makes you think this will fall apart? Are you butt hurt too?
At least the koenigsegg and the bugatti won't fall apart
Haha!!! Suck it haters!!!
I love everyone who is talking shit, I nor anyone else cares that's it's designed in England. We made it better, suck a dick. Not to mention that there is still another 300+ hp on tap.
People complaining about it being a "Lotus" lol. I wonder if the same people bitch about the Shelby Cobra......think about it.
"Take that Europe" they using a base car thats designed and Assembled in Hethel, Norfolk, England! Duuuuuhhhhh!!!
My question is why they havent tested the venom gt's top speed yet? They rated the car to 272 mph with no proof of that yet.
Don't be jealous now :)
Well that's about the same as my 0- 60....
"TakeThatEurope" yet the car's design is borrowed from an Elise. wow
Wasn't their an article on this like 2, 3 weeks ago?
Has it been to the Nurburgring to see how it stacks up with something besides straight line speed?
next veyron will be faster don't worry as usual all that counts in the states is how fast it is on a straight line which one would you rather go 200 mph+ in the over engineered German or the crazy American with the unpredictable hi speed handling
WTF it's 3 in the morning and I'm sick
