Chrysler 300 Glacier Edition Heads for Snow

Just in time for the snow this season, Chrysler reveals its new 300 Glacier Edition, a unique AWD version of its popular sedan.

Although Chrysler's recent 300S Turbine Edition that's now on display at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show may or may not reach production, the American automaker has just announced a new special edition of the car that will. The 2013 300 Glacier edition is basically the 300/300S but with additional exterior and interior styling bits that give it an "ice-cool demeanor." The additions include unique body-color fascia accents, gloss black mirrors, headlamp bezels and black chrome sculpted grille blades.

There's also a new gloss black roof and 19-inch eight-spoke aluminum wheels that are wrapped in all-season performance tires. Buyers have a choice between several colors including white, silver metallic and the exclusive Glacier Blue Pearl Coat (pictured here). The interior is decked out with amenities such as 12-way power driver and passenger seats and piano black trim on the center stack, dash, steering wheel and gauge cluster. Amongst other stylistic touches, the package is topped off with matte carbon hydrographic accents and black floor mats. Power comes from either the 3.6-liter V6 with 300 horsepower or the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 363 hp.

Each engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels. Chrysler says the 300 and 300S Glacier Edition is now available in US dealerships with pricing beginning at $37,840.
